RB's POV
They never understood me. I just want to make friends. I just want someone to love me. I just want to be happy... And yet...
Why...
"Hi RB," a classmate of mine said while I'm eating alone in the school cafeteria. I was fifteen and I was a junior student back then.
I raised my face to look at the guy. "RB?"
"Oh, I just thought that it's your nickname. Rubio kasi ang pangalan mo 'di ba? RB would be a fitting nickname for you," the guy said.
"RB..." I said to myself. He was able to guess my nickname correctly.
"Is it okay if I eat lunch with you? Pansin ko kasi na madalas kang kumain nang mag-isa dito sa cafeteria," sabi pa niya.
I nodded. "S-Sure. It's okay."
The guy sat in front of me.
"I'm JC, if you're wondering. Baka kasi hindi mo pa ako kilala. Halos wala ka naman kasing kasa-kasama sa klase natin eh. It's boring to be alone, for your info," he said.
Yumuko na lang ako sa plato ko. "I-I'm not good in socializing with people..." I said timidly.
"It's okay," JC replied. "I understand..."
JC Valencia. I will never forget his name. He is the very first person who approached me after being rescued from the hands of Jaeron. It's quite funny dahil halos apat na taon na kaming magkakasama pero ngayon lang siya lumapit sa 'kin. Weird. Strange.
He is among the people who made a big mistake of lying to me.
We became close. We spent time together. He made me happy. He made me feel special. He made feel that I'm approachable and fun to be with.
But just like everyone else, he lied to me. And I don't like being lied to.
"Nagawa mo na ba 'yung assignment natin? I haven't done it yet," sabi niya sa 'kin isang araw.
"I've finished it already. Do you want to copy mine?" I asked him.
"Is it okay? May free time pa naman tayo eh. I can answer them while we're having our break," sabi ni JC.
"No, it's okay... You can borrow my notes," I said, smiling at him.
"Thanks a lot! I'll just go to the cafeteria. Do you want to eat something? Ibibili kita," sabi niya.
