Neighbors Pt.2

Shawn's POV

I roll over onto my right side and pull my blankets closer to my face. I let out a deep breath keeping my eyes closed hoping I'll go back to sleep.

Then I hear tapping at my balcony door. I open my eyes and sit up in bed. I cautiously get up and go open the door.

"Good morning!" I see Kate standing in front of me with a smile on her face. "What are you doing? How'd you get over?" I ask.

"I climbed over." She says and then looks at me. I realize she's staring at me because I don't have a shirt on. I smirk and turn around to grab a shirt.

"Like what you see?" I ask and she rolls her eyes. "Okay whatever." She says. "So why'd you come over?" I ask her.

"Well you did say that if I ever wanted to hang out to tell you." She says and I nod. "Okay well what do you want to do?" I ask.

"I don't know. I thought you would have an idea." She says. "Okay well wait here while I go wash up." I say and go to bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face.

I also fix my hair and then go back to my room. "Do you want to go eat or something?" I ask her. "Oh no I can't go anywhere for to long. I have to be back in my house in like and hour and a half." She says and I make a face.

"Okay? Well then we just hang here. My parents are at work and Aaliah is at her friends house." I say. "Aaliah?" She asks. "Yeah my little sister." She nods in response.

"You play guitar?" She asks and points to my guitar. "Yeah I do. Do you play?" I ask and grab it. "Oh no. I want to learn though." She says so I sit next to her and hand her my guitar.

"Okay let's teach you then." I say and she makes a face. "You want to teach me?" She asks. "Yeah why not?" I say and shrug my shoulders.

"Okay." She says and smiles. I show her how to play a few chords. "Now with these you can play dozens of tunes." I say and so she starts strumming the chords in different orders.

 "I did it! I'm a pro!" She says and I laugh. "I wouldn't go that far, but you learn quick." I say and she smiles. I like when she smiles.

We went downstairs to watch tv for a while and turns out she likes Harry Potter too. "Oh crap. I gotta go." She says and run upstairs. I run after her and see her climbing back over to her balcony.

"What's wrong?" I ask. "Nothing. Nothing at all I just have to go." She says and then walks into her room without another word.

I went back inside and started on my chores. My mom and dad got home with Aaliah and my day went on like normal.

After dinner I decide to sit out on the balcony for a little while so I sit down in one of the chairs I have out here. I get on my phone and text my friend Brian to tell him about Kate.

I was having a conversation with Brian when I hear yelling coming from Kate's house. 

It was faint for a little while but then it was getting louder and louder. "No! I'm tired of it! You guys always do this crap and I hate it!" I could hear Kate yelling those words very clearly.

Then I hear a door slam and it gets quiet for a moment. All of a sudden Kate's balcony doors fly open and she comes out crying.

She didn't notice me at first and I think it's because it's already dark out. I don't say anything and finally she sees me. 

"Oh, I didn't know you were out here." She says and wipes her face. "Yeah I've been out here for a while." I say. "Did you hear any of that." She asks me.
