They're seventeen years old.

Eleven's POV:

Mike is keeping a secret from me.

He's been doing something, he won't tell me the past month. The boys knows, but Max is just as confused as I am. We tried to make Lucas tell us, but he just ran away screaming he had forgot to do homework.

I hope it's nothing, and that I'm just imagining stuff, but Max thinks he's keeping a secret too. I asked him what he has been doing this past month, everyday after school. He told me he wasn't doing anything, so I would ask him to hang out. But then he suddenly had to do something.

"What if he's cheating on me?" I ask Max.

Max looks up from her homework and sighs. We're sitting in my room, doing our very important homework, but Mike just keeps popping into my mind.

"He won't cheat on you, El. Maybe he's...um... embarrassed of something?" Max says, more like questions .

"Yeah, embarrassed of me."

Max rolls her eyes and goes back to her homework. It's currently Thursday, and I'm super tired. I think it's mainly because of the whole thing with Mike, but also because of school.

I have to focus more in school then the others, because of all the years I've lost. It's really hard and I sometimes break down, because I don't know what to do. Mike is always holding me and telling me that it's going to be okay, and I believe him.

I really need Mike right now.

"Okay, so I have an idea. What if he's learning how to make eggos from scratch?" Max asks me.

"Eggos from scratch?"

"Yeah! He really wants to make you happy, and you love eggos."

I think about the idea. Nope that can't be it.

I lean against my locker and look towards the boys. They're talking about something, right next to Dustin's locker. Where is Mike?

All of the boys suddenly looks my way, and walk towards us. I glance at Max and she shrugs. The boys stands in front of me, grinning. I give them a small smile. They are kinda freaking me out.

"So El, can you come with us, outside?" Will asks me.

I nod my head and they start walking away. Max grabs my arm and we walk behind the boys. They sometimes looks back at us, to be sure we're following. It's not like we know our way around school.

When we're finally outside, the boys stops up, turns around and looks at me. Dustin counts to three and they all step away. Behind them, Mike is sitting in a car. He is sitting behind the wheel. Ha ha Wheeler is behind the wheel.

I sit down in the passenger seat, and put on the seatbelt. Mike smiles at me and starts driving away from the parking lot.

"So this is what you've been doing for a month?"

"I mean yeah, I had to get my drivers license first, and then buy a car. So I worked for Hopper, a bit, since he was willing to pay more than a normal job. But as soon as I got my car, he wanted me to find a real job."

I nod my head, but then a question pops into my head.

"What did you do for him?"

"I was kind like his personal assistant, keeping track of his papers, going to the library, because he can't do it. You know, the whole librarian incidence. Yeah stuff like that."

I tell Mike how upset I've been, and lonely. He tells me how sorry he is, and that he just wanted it to be a surprise. Mike thought it would be a great idea to get a car, so we wouldn't have to ride around on our bikes.

And Mike was right. It is so much better to ride in a car, than a bike.

Hey guys!

So did you like this one-shot?

I'm not going to be able to write an one-shot next weekend, because I'll be in New York. I'm really exited, because I've wanted to go to New York since I was ten. I'm going to see "Dear Evan Hansen" (a musicale)

See you next next Saturday.
