You watched intently from the sidelines as your dad came up to bat. Your papa lifted you on his shoulder to get a better view.
"Strike one!"
"Come on daddy you can do it!"
"Strike two!"
"Me and papa believe in you!"
You heard the wonderful sound of ball hitting bat. He let go of the bat and ran.
"Go daddy!" You cheered.
Then the unthinkable happen a player from the other team tripped him. Shouts from unhappy fan was everywhere as your dad was carried off the field.
"Papa, he's ok...right?"
"Da, he's the hero. I'm sure he's fine." You could hear the uncertainty in his voice.
"I hope your right."
- Time skip -
"Doc says it's bad... looks like I won't be playing baseball anymore." Your dad said smiling.
"Well, if you can't play anymore I'll play for you!"
Your dad looked at you surprised.
"Me and papa talked about. I'm going to start my own team and play in your place. I won't let you down!"
"You could never let me down, (your name)."
"You still need a coach." Your papa reminded you.
You smiled at him then at your dad.
"Will you coach my team, daddy?"
"Of course!"
