"Okay, fine."

She gave me a hug before leaving the room. I unplugged my charger and took my phone with me to the bathroom. I played She's Kinda Hot on full volume as I took a shower. Once I was done, I wrapped my hair in a towel and changed into a dark blue knitted blouse and black shorts. I dried my hair before brushing it and going downstairs. My sister and I ate lunch then she made me get ready right after. A group of stylists came into my room and made me sit on a stool.

After three hours of waxing, threading, applying makeup, and doing my hair, I stood in front of a covered mirror with a sheet of black cloth. They gave me a light pink dress with lace patterns on the hem of the skirt as well as the top portion that stopped a few inches under my knees. I changed into it and wore my white heels. Once I told them I was ready, they came in and took the sheet off the mirror. To say that I looked amazing would be an understatement.

"Y/n?" I heard my mom's voice say as she went into the room. "Oh my! You look so beautiful!"

"Hey mom." I said, smiling at her.

"My little girl is all grown up."

"Mom, it's not like I'm getting married. Chill."

"It's currently five thirty. The party starts in less than thirty minutes. Please try to socialize this time rather than staying up here in your room to read another book series."

I groaned and pouted at her. "Where's the fun in that? What's with the dinner thing anyway? The last time you organized one was when y/s/n was graduating college."

"Let's just say that I have a really important announcement and I need you to be there."

"But why?"

"You'll find out later."

Once she left, I couldn't help but feel terrified of what might happen. She might announce that she already picked my course for me or that she's sending me to a different country or that I will be taking over our business in the near future. The possibilities are endless! I couldn't help the feeling that something bad is about to happen.

When the clock struck six, my sister went into the room wearing a gold dress that's as long as mine and looks a bit like a shorter version of Zoe Sugg's dress as Aurora. Her hair cascaded down her back in soft curls while mine has two strands from the front pinned up with a silver bow at the back. Her makeup seems natural with gold and black ombre eye shadow and a lipstick shade that could only be known as LA Girls' Bazaar while mine is an ombre of black and rose gold eye shadow with a black winged eyeliner and the same brand of lipstick as hers except in the shade Dreamy.

"Let's go?" She asked, smiling at me sweetly.

I just nodded as we made our way downstairs. Everyone in the living room as well as the garden was socializing and wearing elegant clothes. Seeing my cousins, my sister and I went over to them and spent the whole night with them. After dinner was served, mom stood up and requested for everyone to keep quiet.

"As we all know, my daughter y/s/n will now be running the family business. However that's not what I need to tell everyone in this room. What I want to announce is that there will be another merger to our company and as part of the agreement, my youngest daughter, y/n is arranged to be married to the heir of the Mendes corporation." She said as people gave a round of applause. "Y/n please stand up and come over here."

I just sat there in shock. I couldn't move nor breathe. Are they serious?! Please tell me it's a different Mendes. Just please tell me it's not him. Y/s/n nudged me to stand up and I slowly made my way to my mom with my shaking hands by my side. As I stood beside her, the familiar face stood up as well and made his way towards me. The claps grew louder as he held my hand. The party went on but I was still shocked. Why him?

"Y/n." I heard a male voice say as I leaned over the railings of the balcony.

"Shawn." I muttered, not even bothering to look at him.

"You look beautiful."

"Can you please stop it? Try to convince them to cancel this engagement?" I asked as I tried to hold in the tears threatening to stream down my face— ignoring what he said in the process.

"Why would I?"

"Shawn, please. I'm begging you, please try to cancel this."

"Y/n... I would but... It's not my decision. I can't trick them into stopping it. Besides, why would I want to stop it?"

I groaned and buried my head in my hands. I could feel him do the same beside me.

"What do you have against me? What did I ever do to you? We used to be best friends." He muttered.

"Are you that blind?! I was in love with you! I did everything I can to make you see me as more than just a friend but you were just so... Dense! And when you went on tour for the first time, you left me behind! No contact at all! This is probably the first time I've talked to you since you left for MAGCON! Best friends? Ha! I call bullshit. Best friends don't forget each other, Shawn."

"Y/n-"

"Just drop it, Shawn." I said, turning to leave.

"Y/n-" He said grabbing my arm.

"Don't you fucking touch me! Don't ever talk to me again!"

I pulled my arm away from him before running out the door, throwing my heels somewhere in the porch in the process. I didn't mind the rain pouring down on me. I don't know where I'm going but apparently, I don't care.

A/N: I'm not really sure with this imagine but I only felt like writing this because I was reading another teenfic about arranged marriages 😂 And why not make it a 2 part imagine where the girl hates Shawn before they make up? 😂✌ I'll post "Yours" (the part 2 of this imagine) either tomorrow or a couple of days from now since I'm not finished with it yet.
