Chapter 48

Jeff's point of view

I'm actually kind of enjoying my hospital stay; my roommate, a woman who had just had a baby, is really cool, and I love Jell-o. My leg hurts, but it would hurt wherever, you know? I miss Tiffany, but hopefully they'll raise the ransom money soon. I already donated $50 to their gofundme page, so hopefully the money will add up. Until then, the quadruplets and my Whose Line buddies are raising awareness like crazy, whenever they can. A few hoe-downs have ended with:

"Now Tiffany is a friend of mine/And she's really cool/I love it when she's on this show/Her improv jokes really rule/But something really bad happened/I hope it never happens to me/She was kidnapped by the Mafia/Help pay her ransom on gofundme."

I shook my head and laughed when I heard that. Those guys are too much sometimes. Well, whatever works, I stand by it. I just hope I'm out of the hospital soon so I can help them raise money too.

A nurse came in. "Hello, Jeff. How are you today?"

I smiled. "Can't complain."

She smiled.

"Anyway, I want to introduce you to your new roommate."

A man walked in. He had a lot of scars on his face and he was smoking a cigarette. Something about him made me uneasy...

"This is... What was your name, sir?"

"Eh, Baby Fa--I mean, Bob Smith."

"Bob Smith, that's right. You'll sleep here." The nurse helped him into his bed.

I smiled at him. "I'm Jeff B. Davis. It's nice to meet you."

Bob smiled back, smoking his cigarette. "Nice to meet you, Jeff."
