He pulls his jersey over his shoulder pads, ties up his skates and looks around Stars' locker room, where his teammates are repeating the same pre-game routine, few of them already wearing helmets, few of them still not wearing their skates. Tyler Seguin has already laces up his skates, but apparently he has decided to give them all a good look on his muscles.

"Segs, would you mind putting your gear on?" he sighs and sits down in his stall.

"We still have five minutes," Tyler answers, but put his shoulder pads up anyway. Jamie observes his team mates as they are getting ready for tonight's game. He has a strong feeling tonight's game against Carolina will be interesting, but reminds himself hockey is an unpredictable game. A quick glimpse on a wall clock reminds him it's about time to leave, to get out on the ice and get in a fight for new points which could bring them one step closer to the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He looks around the room, looking at each and every single on of his teammates, his on-ice family.

"I believe in us, boys. Let's get out there and play like it's our last game."

On his way out, he grabs his stick and soon a group of twenty heavy-geared men walk down the hall, towards the ice. When they step on the ice, they are welcomed by thousands of cheering throats.

"We have the best fans in the world," Jamie thinks to himself as he starts warming up.

~Y/N's POV~

You've never thought you and your five-year-old daughter Christina would go on a hockey game with your uncle and aunt from Chicago. To make things even worse, they put on their Chicago Blackhawks jerseys, saying 'they support their team no matter which game they attend'. Even more, they made you and Chrissy wear Hawks' jerseys as well you were wearing Chicago's jersey at the Dallas versus Carolina game. You, a hardcore Dallas Star fan, were forced to wear Chicago's jersey on a game where Hawks' didn't even play. You just hope you'll go unnoticed through the entire game. Your little girl, sitting next to you, pulls you for a sleeve of your jersey: "Why are we wearing those silly red jerseys? Stars have green jerseys."

You smile down at her proudly: "It's just for tonight's game, sweet heart. I promise I will wrap you in your Stars' jersey when we get home, tuck you in a bed and read you a bedtime story."

She claps her tiny hands: "Yay! A bedtime story! With princes and princesses?"

"Of course, baby doll," you kiss her forehead. You've never thought being a single mother could be fun. It had its ups and downs, but Chrissy is your light. Her childish innocence and curiosity light up your days. Your abusive ex-boyfriend got you pregnant when you were not even twenty yet and dumped you when he found out you were pregnant. Not only dump, he beat you quite good and you were even sent to a hospital for a week. Now, five years later, you have finally realized you are much better off without him and even Christina doesn't ask about her daddy.

The horn goes off, signaling the game has begun. You can almost feel glares the other fans are sending you and your relatives for wearing their division rivals' jersey and you are really close to pulling that jersey off.

It all goes well until the final four and half minutes of second period with Dallas winning 4 to 1 when you look up at their Jumbotron. And in that moment you realize going to a game with your uncle and aunt was a terrible mistake, since operators of Dallas Jumbotron notice everything. You quickly pull of your and Chrissy's jersey, but your relatives are spotted and you've never felt so embarrassed in your life. You hear the entire arena burst into laughter and a man behind you whispers to you: "Do they know they are watching the wrong game?"
