Chapter 17: A question

Mark untied the rope around my ankles and my arms.

"T-thanks", I muttered.

I honestly don't know what to think right now.

Mark nodded and gave me a lift up.
"Where are we?", I asked him.

"We are at one of the Google Towers"

"You mean, there's more then one?!", I yelled.

He didn't react to my voice raising.

"Honestly, I have no idea what's going on!! I have been through so much bull shit just so-", I was interrupted.

Google covered my mouth with his hand.
Weirdly enough, I didn't grab his hand and push him away.

"I'll get you out of this hellhole. I'll protect you with my life, I promise", Mark whispered to me.

Mark let go of my mouth.

I didn't know what to say...

Mark looks me in the eyes once more and let's go of my shoulders.

The sound of the door handle being shaken interrupts us.
Mark lets go of me and looks me in the eyes.

"Follow me", Mark grabs my hand and leads my out a different door and to an elevator.

We wait in the elevator awkwardly.

"Mark?", I looked up at him.

He doesn't say anything.

I wanted to ask him so much, but I know that I don't have enough time. I need to ask him the most important question there is. What should it be?
