Mrs. Lizzy drove in and John shut the gate behind, almost immediately. She then stepped out of the car, ordered the children to get into the house before walking to meet John with furrowed brows. She was devastated but tried to control her emotions and claimed to be totally fine.

“Never let that woman or her assistant step feet into this compound or else you will lose your job....And again, be sure not to let my husband know what occurred here today, or else, you will not live to tell your generation the story.” Mrs. Lizzy threatened, and John placed his hands on his head. He had never known his madam to be of such character and the fear crawled up again at him.

“Ah, madam, e never reach so na! I no go talk anything oh! If i try talk am, na thunder go strike me but abeg, no harm me” John pleaded but Mrs. Lizzy sighed and walked away as her shoe made rackets.

Mrs. Lizzy walked into the house and called on David.

“Yes mum!” David answered and ran to meet his mother. He skipped some steps

“Ehmmmm, about what that woman said, is not true! Her friend confirmed to me that she is mad. You are my son and nothing should ever make you doubt it! I love you and I carried you for nine months in my tommy.” Mrs. Lizzy said and held David tight to herself.

David only nodded and relaxed in his mother's embrace. While Mrs. Lizzy began to cry and David cleaned her tears.

“I love you too, mum!” David said and hugged his mum again.

Her thought went far! What if the news got to the ears of her husband? Her house would scatter soon! She tried to overcome pains she felt in her heart.

Chiamaka and Patricia drove back home! Chiamaka could not utter a word and went straight to her room to cry. The woman was correct, no proof and the child grew up with her. Chiamaka knew she had no means.

Patricia entered Chiamaka's room with the envelope Susan left for her.

“Here!” Patricia said and threw the envelope on the bed for Chiamaka.

Chiamaka stood up and collected the envelope to read. As Chiamaka went through, tears began to drop, she felt so hurt. Susan stated how everything about taking away of her son started. After reading, Chiamaka turned to Patricia, while cleaning her tears.

“We have to use this as a proof! I can't let this woman do this to me. My son has to know who his real mother is. I know I have not been there for him or to watch grow but my son needs to know his real mom.” Chiamaka lamented in tears.

“We have to sue her!” Patricia uttered and Chiamaka turned.

“What? Sue? Why?” Chiamaka bombed questions.

“Is it not obvious that that wicked woman will not agree to anything we present to her. We need to table this matter to the court and let the world know what she did. She must face justice! She have the mind to say those words to you. Even when I looked closely at the little boy, I saw the resemblance. He looked a little like you!” Patricia said and collected the small paper that was fell off when Chiamaka dropped the envelope back on the bed, “And what is this?” Patricia asked and Chiamaka moved even more closer so as to get a better look at the paper.

“What is written in it?” Chiamaka asked as she tried to peep through.

Patricia opened the paper and read it aloud.

“Chiamaka, this is the number of the lady who introduced me to Mrs. Lizzy. You can go to them for your son. I am so sorry I caused you so much pains. Forgive me and help me ask your son to forgive me too, for separating him from his mother. Take the money I left for you and get back your son at any course.” Patricia read and Chiamaka stretched out her hands and collected the paper.
