That whole spring break was spent with Danny, Tomy and Lavender. Every waking moment, we spent our time doing activities we considered human. During the sunny days, we would go out to the beachy part of Virginia which remained private. No humans dared go here. The risk of danger was too high. We would read, play games, paddle, sun bathe. Just have fun.

During the breezy days, we would go to the stream and in wet, rainy days, we would go to sheltered places. The indoor park or abandoned buildings. We tried to stay away from the human race as much as possible.

And as we spent more time together, the more I fell for Danny. He was just so perfect...

Tomy was in love with Lavender. And I could tell she loved him back. We all got on well. To me, she was just another family member.

But there was a flipside to the happiness. The secrets was so hard. I hated decieving Dad. I hated having to hide from Alice. I hated having to control my thoughts around Uncle Edward or my feelings around Jasper.

I wasn't sure what was right.

"Oh Mom..." I leaned against the doorframe, looking outside at the stars. "Mom, what do I do?"
