"No."

"It's just a short ride to my apartment." She replied, standing up as she started to walk towards Raghav's room before Adi could say anything.

"You think I'm stupid?" He asked, following her inside the room, "You're not going anywhere."

She closed the room's door before turning to him, "I've only fifteen minutes Adi, I made a mistake and Raghav's paying for it. Whoever it is...isn't mentally stable...I need to-"

"Stop. Stop sounding helpless. You are not, understand? I'm with you" Adi interrupted, making her sit on the sofa as he kept his hands on her shoulders.

"He's hurting him Adi and this is the only chance I have...He picked up the call after so many tries and wanted to see me...I have to go." She replied.

"Then we'll go together." He replied, "And you're not going to cry anymore, you're Haya. You fight for yourself, you don't cry over psychos." He continued, "Take a look at yourself in the mirror, you look hideous, this is how you're going to face that motherfucker?" He asked.

"I can't help it!"

"Yes, you can." He replied, "Stand up and go wash your face, we're running out of time." He urged, combing his hair with his fingers.

"Adi...but-"

"Quick."

She washed her face and came back in a minute, confused, Adi's demeanour changed as he observed her, "There, much better. Now, you're going to stop worrying about what might happen and focus on facing that asshole confidently."

"Hmm."

He wrapped an arm around her neck, catching her off-guard, "Adi, what are you doing?" She asked, struggling to get free.

"Don't panic. Calm," He replied, "We are preparing you, you know how to get out of this situation, remember?" Adi reminded her of the times he used to teach her self-defence techniques.

She nodded, and with a deep breath, she steadied herself and followed Adi's instructions.

She swiftly shifted her weight, lowering her centre of gravity, and grabbed onto Adi's arm that was around her neck as he tightened his hold on her neck.

Using the chance, she twisted her body and stepped to the side, breaking free from his hold.

As she regained her composure, Adi held her hand and twisted it behind her back, pulling her to himself.

As Adi tightened his grip on her hand, she winced in pain but quickly using her free hand, she applied pressure to a pressure point on his arm.

The sudden jolt of pain caused Adi to release his grip, allowing her to break free once again.

With a sense of urgency, she stepped back, putting distance between them, and raised her hands defensively. "Adi, stop!" she exclaimed.

"I'm sorry," he muttered, releasing her hand and stepping back. "I just wanted to make sure you were prepared."

"I am." She panted, "We're running low on time Adi, once I find out who it is, I swear to God I won't think twice before killing someone again."

"I am with you, now go," He said, "Get your shoes."

Haya nodded, walking into the closet. She didn't have much at Raghav's place, only what she bought with his money was kept in the closet.

She went for the comfortable bellies when her phone pinged with a text from Raghav's number, 'I'm waiting for you doll'
