Haya watched as Raghav straightened his already straight shirt, dusting off the invisible dust from his pants, a snicker escaped her making him turn towards her with a frown.

"What's funny?"

"You being nervous." She shrugged.

"I'm not nervous." He replied, standing straighter, "Where's the gift box?" He asked, finding her hands empty as he clearly remembered asking her to fetch the box on their way out of the car.

"In the car?"

"You idiot." He shook his head, walked back to where he parked the car and took out the gift box full of imported chocolates before walking back to her.

"Those are not for me?" She mumbled.

"No?"

"Papa is diabetic and mummy hates chocolates, you should just take these back, they won't mind." She replied.

"Yes I will mind, I love chocolates." She heard her mother's voice as the door was opened.

"Mummy!" Haya exclaimed, a complaint in her voice.

"Since you couldn't ring the bell for the last ten minutes, I took it upon myself to let you inside." Her mother smiled sarcastically, "I'm Nisha, her mother." She forwarded her hand towards Raghav.

"Raghav Agnihotri." He took her hand in a handshake, nodding.

"Ab andar bhi bulaoge ya yahin pe bio data lene ka iraada hai?" Haya asked.
(Now will you invite us inside or are you planning to ask for his bio-data here only?)

Her mother cast a glance towards her, narrowing her eyes before turning her eyes back to Raghav, crossing her arms as she asked, "How old are you? Where do you work? How many girlfriends have you had before Haya? Do you consume alcohol-"

"Mummy yaar!" Haya interrupted.

"Come inside." Her mother rolled her eyes, stepping aside as she let them inside.

Haya pitched Raghav on the sides before quickly walking inside.

"What's that face for, boy?" He heard her mother ask even though she clearly saw what Haya did.

"I uh, nothing? I think a mosquito bit me." He replied.

"You're saying we have mosquitoes in our house?" She asked, raising her brows in disbelief.

"No, of course not." He quickly replied, "When did I even say that?"

"Just now! You said a mosquito bit you while standing inside my house." She replied, throwing her hand up in the air as she walked inside, "Aaiye maharaj, aapke liye odomos chidakti hoon."
(Come in drama king, I'll spray odomos in the house for you.)

Raghav frowned but was quick to erase any kind of emotion from his face before her mother could see his reaction again.

Haya who was giving a hug to her father quickly pulled him into the kitchen as she saw her mother going there.

"Apni wife ko samjha lo, tang kar rahi hain mere boyfriend ko." She complained to her father.
(Keep your wife under control, she's troubling my boyfriend.)
