"Narcissus-nim, if it's hard for you, shall I speak instead?"

Alan asked quietly, gripping my shoulder. The Magic Tower Lord's expression twisted angrily when he saw that.

"Hands off and don't speak. I'm really holding back right now."

The Magic Tower Lord spoke like a gangster, but Alan didn't even blink. Instead, he stroked my shoulder as if encouraging me.

"Narcissus-nim is currently unwell. It's not good to prioritize the Magic Tower Lord's emotions and press him like this."

"Can you be mana vessel's guardian?"

"Well, I could say that I am a protector since he is a recipient of Eura's miracle."

"In that case, I'm his master. Aren't I the one truly qualified as a guardian?"

Come to think of it, before I lost my memory, Alan mentioned I was the Magic Tower Lord's disciple. Listening to him speak, it was clear that I was indeed his disciple.

I slowly got up from the sofa. Everyone in the room simultaneously fell silent, watching my movements. It was a bit awkward, but I stared at the Magic Tower Lord with a determined expression.

"First, let's talk."

True Love

Andrea said, "Master, no. Don't be alone with that redhead" holding onto the hem of my clothes, and although Alan reluctantly offered to follow, I firmly refused them.

I had matters to discuss with the Magic Tower Lord, named Cain. I was first going to request the removal of the hair loss penalty, and the second was to ask him to teach me magic again. There was also a third reason. I wanted to find out directly why this man was considered my potential partner.

With such grand goals, I entered the guest room alone with Cain. In this house, the separate spaces were Otakia's bedroom, the basement, and this guest room. Otakia suggested the basement, but considering the dark and monster-filled state of the house, there is a high possibility that I would feel nauseous if I went there. So, the guest room became our destination.

The guest room was so small that it was tightly filled with just one bed and a small round table. Cain naturally sat on the bed, and then he casually patted the space next to him. Originally planning to sit at the table, I was pressured by his momentum and ended up sitting next to Cain.

"When I was looking for you, I couldn't understand that Archduke."

"What?"

"I went to your house to complete the tracking magic, but I couldn't feel your mana from any item in your room."

I didn't understand what he was saying and listened silently. Cain, who had been quite excited, continued the story more calmly than expected, but I could still sense the anger lurking within his voice.

"I'm best at magic, but it didn't work. Last time and this time. As you know, I'm not some great genius, when it comes to matters related to you, I become a fool."

Suddenly, he grabbed my chin and spoke as if growling.

"I even thought about where to lock you up if I found you."

"......R-really?"

"Yeah. So, tell me, Mana vessel. Where have you been? Why did you run away, huh?"

Cain's eyes glared fiercely. His grip on my chin tightened, and I quickly added with sincerity,

"I don't know either."

When I answered, Cain's red eyes glared in irritation. It seemed he was angry. I added it quickly.

"I lost my memory. So, I swear! I don't know."

I began with the story of emerging in a sandstorm about four months ago, naked. From being called an angel in Sablum, Andrea's visit, the appearance of the priest Alan, the commotion with Waroom, and the appearance of a centipede monster while running away together, to getting help from Otakia. The journey of the past few months had been long and challenging.

I intentionally avoided talking about quests or penalties. I didn't want to speak hastily about things I didn't fully understand, and Cain was still unfamiliar and scary.

Cain didn't speak until I finished my story. He listened with an expressionless face and finally nodded.

"Alright, I understand."

He brushed his red hair back, revealing scratch-shaped marks on his slightly long hair.

"Okay, [Winkyo]."

He chanted something like a spell. As I looked at him in confusion, I felt a sensation as if invisible ropes were tying my wrists and ankles.

"Huh?"

I tried to move my hands, but my wrists were stuck together. The same went for my ankles.

"Why, why is this happening?"

"When I lost you again, I made a promise. I won't let you slip away again."

He smirked. I saw the illusion of a light flash at the tip of his sharp fangs.

"I won't let those damn priests or kidnappers see you again. The Duke and the Crown Prince are the same. You're my disciple, my family, someone I have to take responsibility for."

Cain's voice became stronger. It seemed like he truly had special feelings for me.

"So, from now on, with me..."

"Hey, hey, the Magic Tower Lord! How long are you going to stay there? If the patient's treatment is over, let's go see the Scoloradra I caught!"

Otakia interrupted Cain's words and energetically entered the guest room. Cain's face gradually turned red. It didn't seem like he was embarrassed but rather something else.

"Miss... Hey! Why aren't you leaving?"

"You have a really bad temper. I am the owner of the house. As the owner, I'm telling you to stop now and come out to see the Scoloradra."

"I don't need it anymore! I was trying to distort surveillance magic to find this guy! Damn it, take all those centipede tails of yours, you!"

"huh...are you serious? If that's the case, I'm grateful."

Otakia put up her glasses to her nose and ran out of the room excitedly. But the door was wide open and Andrea and Alan were standing in front of it.

"Are you done?

Andrea said, leaning crookedly against the door.
