Elsa was in the hospital room as the doctor cleaned Rosanna’s wound and bandaged it.

“Don’t worry, okay? It won’t leave a permanent scar. It will heal slowly and completely disappear, as if you never had a wound there,” the doctor encouraged her before leaving her alone in the room with Elsa.

The air in the room was tense, at least for Rosanna.

After a few minutes of silence, Elsa began to speak. “So, Victoria was the one who did that to you?”

Rosanna turned to Elsa and nervously nodded. “Yes, I caught her in your father’s office stealing money from the safe. I wanted to hold her until the police came, so she hit me with a jewelry box she had stolen from me as well.”

“And how long ago was this?” After Rosanna told her, Elsa said indifferently, “I see... Okay, that’s all I need from you. I could tell you I wish you a speedy recovery, but my mother Jenna told me it’s wrong to lie, especially to someone older than me.”

Her words hit Rosanna right in the heart, but she knew she deserved it.

She held Elsa’s hand as she was about to leave and said, “Elsa, please. Can you help me with pictures of you and Gwen together?”

Elsa looked at her for a while before nodding. “Sure, I can,” she shrugged.

“Really, Elsa?” Rosanna asked.

“I have a photo album filled with photos of me and Gwen together, starting from childhood, to our teenage years, to our adult years. I actually even showed that to Jeremy.”

When Rosanna heard that, her eyes teared up. “I would love to see them. You were such beautiful children, I’m sure.”

Elsa smiled and said, “Children... mmmh... When we were kids, we drew pictures with red oceans and green skies. We were princesses of every fairytale we knew, and we played in the meadows until Mama called us for supper.”

She was more talking to herself than to Rosanna at that moment, but her words made Rosanna feel warmth in her heart. But also pain, as she had missed out on her children’s lives growing up.

Just then, the door opened and James and the Old Master Callahan walked in. “Rosanna, how are you now?” the Old Master asked, looking at the bandages on her forehead.

“I’m fine, Old Master Callahan. Thank you for checking on me,” she said respectfully.

She then turned to James and said, “James, Elsa agreed to give us a photo album of her and Gwen from when they were children.”

When James heard that, she turned to Elsa happily. “Really, Elsa? Did you agree to that? Will you give us your photos with your sister?”

She knew what she truly wanted, so Elsa did not want to beat around the bush anymore. “I’ll give you my album if you do something for me,” Elsa said calmly.
