1 Year Later.

It had been 1 year since Sean had fled the attack on his home, since he met the Parkers, and also since Fig's visit. Fig had visited Sean much more in the past year as well. Ensuring that their meeting was not some random coincidental spur the moment kind of things. And in that year, Sean had remained with the Parkers. William, despite being a Clergy, didn't convert Sean to the Christian Faith. But he did let Sean understand that not all of them were cruel and unjust people as Sean was led to believe.

But the day had finally come when the Weather had turned colder, indicating that September had come. And that meant the start of another Year of Hogwarts.

"5th Year." Sarah commented one day at breakfast. And her tone told Sean that it was not a great year to look forward to.

"You say that like it's a bad thing." Sean noted.

"Because it is." Sarah said. "It's the O.W.L year."

"The Owl year?" Sean asked.

"No. The O.W.L. year. It's an acronym. It stands for Ordinary Wizarding Levels." Sarah clarified.

Sean still looked confused.

"It means that it's the test to determine your future." Sarah clarified again.

"Tests to determine futures?" Sean asked. "That sounds very authoritarian."

"I know. What do they teach in schools these days?" William asked annoyed at the prospect.

"Not a fan of the Standardized testing, are you, Mr. Parker?" Sean asked.

"No." William answered straight forward.

Finally, there was a knock on the door.

William opened it to find Professor Fig standing in the door. "Hello, Professor." He greeted.

"Hello, Mr. Parker." Fig greeted back. "Ah, Sarah, my dear. How are you?" He asked.

"Just fine, Professor Fig." Sarah answered while twiddling her thumbs. And just from the reaction, Fig understood completely.

"Ah, I see. O.W.L year will have that effect on students. But I wouldn't worry too much, Miss. Parker. You are an excellent student. You will be fine." He assured Sarah.

Sarah breathed a sigh of relief.

"Have you come for me again, Professor?" Sean asked changing the subject.

"Yes." Fig answered. "We will be traveling to Diagon Alley to pick up your school supplies and then you and I will both travel to Hogwarts." He explained.

Sean seemed confused by that. "You mean that I won't be traveling with Sarah to Hogwarts?" He asked.

"Afraid not." Fig answered. "The Headmaster said he needed time to prepare for your arrival. And that it was unconventional for a student like you to travel on the Hogwarts Express."

Sean knew what that really meant. It was a polite way of Black telling Sean to go F*** himself.

"But no matter, for we will journey together." Fig said. "Do you still have the second hand wand I gave you?" He asked.

Sean had held out the wand that Fig had given him during one of their visits. It was a second hand wand. Because you had to have a wand to use magic at Hogwarts, Sean had to abandon his wandless magic process in favor of using a wand. But at least he had taken a good grip with the wand. "Right, here, sir." Sean answered.

"Good. We shall leave when you are ready." Fig declared.

"Thank you, sir." Sean replied.

"And of course, you'll also need some different clothes to be presentable as we go through London." Fig added.
