I scraped myself off the floor, I couldn't feel my body at all, it was all numb. I flung myself down the stairs, with no regard for noise levels in my state of panic. And scrambled across the hallway, using the walls to steady me. I couldn't think, everything was blurred by tears, I couldn't feel my own body, and I was beyond shock and bewilderment.

This house felt 10 times bigger now, I couldn't find my way out and the doors felt infinitesimal, it was a labyrinth.

I finally found the stairs and practically threw myself down them. I heard footsteps pounding along the hallway upstairs (Connor was awake), which made me run faster and I flew open the door running out of the drive.

I was running so fast even tho I couldn't feel my legs, crying and panting for air as I bounded away from the house.

I looked back when I saw the outside lights turn on and crashed into a large body that had just turned the corner. I landed on the ground with a bit of a crash "Clo!" I felt a pair of familiar hands come to me and wrapped around me helping me up "what's happened, are you alright?" I heard in a fuzzy contorted voice, but I knew it was ben. I caught his eye and the image became clear, I pushed him away and screamed "GET AWAY!" The tears flooded down my cheeks. "Don't touch me" my breathing was out of control as I held my hand out distancing him from me

Connor was running down the drive and stopped short of us, George and Patrick were behind Ben, Patrick just catching up, and I was surrounded. The looks of confusion soon turned to concern and anxiety

"The attics open, Ben." Connor raised his voice to reach us.

Ben turned his head so fast toward me, I couldn't decide if it was just concern or pure anger brewing.

"Come inside" he held his hand out to me, giving me a strange reassuring smile.

"Just come in and we will talk, alright? This isn't good for the baby." His last words made me lose it

"SHUT UP SHUT UP!" I screamed as loud as I could

Everyone's faces were very serious with a hint of shock, seeing me in such a state, it was like they were seeing a complete stranger.

"Clo... now" his hand ushered me to him but I shook my head sobbing

"No no NO!" I cried and held my head in my hands

"Your sister... your own sister..." I said in a frail voice

His face softened and looked almost hurt

"He was your brother... you- I-I-"

I couldn't form any words for a moment as I sobbed.

"Your niece..." I managed

His hand came down to his side reshuffling his weight "Clodagh... please"

My eyes shot up to him, he never uses my full name.

"I didn't care that you lied to me...I-I" I took a breath "I didn't care after a while, but this! THIS... I can't ignore it" I held my heart as I calmed m breathing.

"I cannot ignore what you are doing here, It's sick!" I shouted at the end, and Connor perked up suddenly "HEY!" He bellowed making me jump and back away.

"Show some respect to your own family, your father didn't but ill make sure you damn well do." He pointed at me as he walked toward me

"DAD" Patrick launched himself forward stopping Connor, I didn't know what he was about to do but he was coming at me fast.

I hugged my chest as I cradled myself, tears still coming down.

Patrick and Connor walked up the drive as Ben and George remained with me. There was nothing else to say, there was nothing he could possibly tell me to make this better.
