His piercing eyes stared intently back at me, the color of his eyes almost representing the overflow of blood on the floor. My breath was knocked right out of me as we locked eyes for the first time in months, in almost four months to be precise.

The shock of the scene had raised the beating of my heart, masking the affect my soulmate had on me. Even though he was in his wolf form, I was just as glad to lay my eyes on him once again.

His pitch black fur was tainted with blood and bite marks, blood was even dripping right from his chin onto the wooden floor. The rush of adrenaline told me to break out of the hold these men had on me and finally be with Kaden after all this time, but even with the shock and the adrenaline rushing through me, I wouldn't be able to pull it off.

"There she is..." a painfully familiar voice spoke up, drawing my attention away from Kaden long enough to notice Eric standing not far from him, "The very cause of this whole massacre"

Once close enough, a hand on my back pushed me forward, almost managing to knock me over and onto the floor, but I landed right back into Eric's arms.

His arms held no affection for me anymore, not that I ever truly thought they did, but it told me that if he had ever had any ill feelings towards me, it was nothing compared to this time.

He was raging underneath that hideous surface.

"Because that's why you did all of this, wasn't it?-" he chuckled darkly, holding me in front of him, "You destroyed... every bit of my warriors, all for her"

Once again I met the stare of my soulmate, and found that he hadn't taken his eyes off me even once. I didn't know what to think of the information I was just given. Wether I should've been upset by the fact that every one of these people was dead, because of me, or rather impressed by the skills he possessed to eliminate an entire pack's warriors.

All Kaden did in response to Eric's accusation, was sticking his long tongue out and licking his chin of its blood. It was a obvious gesture, no matter if it he had meant it or not. He told us that he held no remorse for the loss of every single one of Eric's warriors, and perhaps— he might have done it all again if he was given the chance.

His hand gathered my tangled, dirty hair into his fist and pulled my head back, forcing me to look up at him.

"You know..." he smirked wickedly, "I've actually known her longer than you have"

Kaden's jaw ticked, yet he stood almost frozen in place.

"I've spent four months, trying to win her heart. Yet she stays completely faithful... to you"

Eric let go of my hair, only to push me forward, this time however I didn't have anyone to catch me. With my hands still cuffed, I couldn't even save myself from the fall. I landed onto my side, damaging my ribs even more. A whimper managed to escape my lips, but I wasn't going to let the immense pain I was suffering from onto the surface more than that one whimper.
