In the middle of the night, Christian woke up to the bedside lamp on the other side of the bed turned on. Winona was sitting up and reading in bed and was using the lamp for some light.

"What the?" He squints his eyes.

"Oh" Winona looks over at him. "I'm sorry I woke you up, I just couldn't sleep" She puts the book on her lap and puts her hand on his cheek.

"No worries" Christian replies sleepily "Why couldn't you sleep?" He sits up.

"I haven't been able to sleep for a couple months now" 

"Months?" He says. "How come I didn't notice it?" Christian asks himself.

"It's not your fault. But I went to a clinic yesterday, they said I have insomnia" Winona exhales.

"Oh no" He went closer to her and pulled her in a comforting hug.

She nuzzles her head in the crook of his neck and melts into his embrace.

"Since you can't sleep, Do you want to go on a drive? Maybe that can help you sleep" He rubbed circles on her back.

"Okay" She nods slightly.

They both got out of bed and put on some shoes to go get in the car. Christian started to drive them through the streets.

"Cigarette?" Winona offers, opening the glove compart and grabs the pack of cigarettes.

He holds out his hand the other on the steering wheel and she places a cigarette in his palm.

Winona perches her cigarette between her lips and she opens her lighter, lighting it up.

Christian turns his head slightly to her, and she lights his cigarette.

The windows were rolled down and wind was blowing through their hair, while they were both in their pajamas, smoking and the radio was softly playing some music.
