She had decided to stay an extra night in the comfort of her own dorm where she was sure to avoid her French friends successfully, not needing to hear how splendid of an evening it had been for Genevieve when it had turned so ugly for her own self
Hermione and Astrid were glad to have the room to themselves—they couldn't bare the de brief session every social event brought upon the five roommates and found having an extra night before it to be the best for their weakened hearts and high emotions
Both girls had said nothing to one another on their way back, Hermione changing quickly and climbing into her bed—she drew the curtains and Astrid was sure a silencing spell was used—or perhaps she was thinking too much
She used the quiet of the dorm to write letters, addressed to Cedric who she doubted would be back from the ball—surely he would remain until dark, being the last few people on the dance floor
