Astrid stood outside the large house for as long as she could once Jasper had left, slipping cash into her pockets and kissing her cheek goodbye. It was a silly feeling, but she hadn't been at Theo's in a long time. Where they made so many memories, where they grew from toddlers to kids. Kids who could finally decide their favourite colours and talk about what bugs were fascinating and which weren't. How fast time went by, there wouldn't be another conversation about insects again between the four kids. They liked shades better than colours now, they wouldn't be that young ever again.
They wouldn't even be that close, ever again. Before the thought consumed her and fear reached the top of her head Astrid moved forward to knock on the door. She waited around, looking at the garden, it had changed so much.
"Hello miss" the house elf greeted Astrid, waiting for her to introduce herself
"Mopey?" Astrid smiled brightly "you look exactly the same"
"You are?" The house elf asked, more on guard than he had been a few seconds ago
"You don't remember me?" Astrid frowned slightly, knowing it was ridiculous to be upset but still she felt her heart break a little
"Strid!" She heard from behind the house elf
"Oh" the house elf bowed to her "Miss Clearwater"
Astrid nodded her head, she'd have to get over the fact that they weren't kids anymore. She couldn't be angry or hurt that her past had faded and this new version of herself wasn't recognizable to those who knew her before she knew herself.
"Come in" Theo opened the door wider, thanking Mopey and dismissing him all at once
"Hey" Astrid hugged Theo "just us today? Or have the others not arrived"
"Blaise will meet us there, Pansy's staying an extra day at her family's and Malfoy cancelled" Theo explained, leading Astrid to the kitchen
"Why did he cancel?" Astrid questioned, throwing Theo a pack of a muggle treat called Twinkie's
