The train ride back to London had been a pleasant one for Astrid—even though this one wasn't accompanied by her three friends.

She forced her way into a compartment near the end of the train with Lee Jordan, Cedric Diggory, Anthony Rickett and the Weasley twins—watching them play exploding snap while she read the book Hermione had gifted her for Christmas.

Every few chapters she would look up at the ongoing game—adding to stories the boys shared with one another—matching George's stares with a small smile of her own before she nervously turned back to the book in hand.

His legs on either side of hers, both claiming the much desired window seat—to all but Fred who happily took the aisle seat, saying he had quite a small bladder and would never want it to catch him by surprise.

I'd be pissing all over you guys by the time I got to the compartment door he had dashingly smiled at Astrid—the only female to accompany the group of boys

How charming she had entered the compartment, leaving them outside to argue over the seats

Astrid had never had a boyfriend nor did she care much for boys either—Harry and Ron putting both her and Hermione off them for another five years at least

And her father was stern on her not having one until she was graduated Hogwarts—because of what he and her mother got up to during their time in school.

It must have been the book lover in Astrid that aways blushed after her encounters with George—her best friends older brother.

Besides Marcus Belby—who was the second boy she had held hands with—George was the only boy who's friendliness towards her made her ears heat up and cheeks cast a pink hue

And Oliver Wood of course! Who she was terribly in love with.

Astrid put her book down in exchange for her coin pouch "anyone want anything from the trolley?"
