OOTN:
The week had gone by rather quickly after Astrid finished her last dance lesson with the Gryffindor's—a most terrible end to her month long journey of getting back into her old hobbies that had died the same night she was left forever changed and scarredWith bite marks and claw gashes scarring her ribs for as long as she would live, even in ten years the skin wouldn't have healed or rejuvenated new skin
A true pity it was
She had been confined into the stuffy room of McGonagall's transfiguration classroom, teaching the sixth years the proper footing during line dancing when her eyes—like always—found George Weasley laughing and stumbling about with Patricia Simpson
Astrid watched the girl carefully, she had knobby knees, light brown hair that fell straight down her back and a pair of the most beautiful deep emerald eyes—she could stare at them for hours on end
The hour she stayed and watched the students dance, she picked faults of her own and compared them to the pretty sixth year girl before her eyes—wondering what she could take and make her own, so George would want her again
She thought to cut a thick fringe straight across her forehead like Patricia had done, or colour her hair a honey golden like Genevieve's, or to find a charm that coloured her eyes the same shade of blue as Fleur's, or she should take a height growing potion, so she would be as tall as that Durmstrang girl with beautiful black curly hair and such light brown eyes, they looked like caramel toffees—Anastasiya? Was that her name?
"That concludes our last session" McGonagall clapped her hands and turned to the the sixth years "May we have a round of applause for Miss Clearwater?"
Everyone burst into loud applause, smiling at her and shaking her hand in thanks as they collected their items and left the class—all but George Weasley who lingered for a moment longer with Fred and smiled at her as if nothing had happened, as if he hadn't given her hell the last few weeks
