I walk back into the room I had been in earlier. He's bleeding and the doctors are stitching him up. He has a low pulse due to the amount of blood lost. They're barely starting his blood transfusion when the monitor goes black. He's on a ventilator and had IV and blood running through his veins and arteries. Within an hour he's back to his normal skin tone and starts moving. I've been at his side. I let tears flow here and there until 5:08 pm. Then that everlasting beeeep again. I shake Kian and feel him go cold.
