Chapter 14

Mia's POV

He turned me on my back.

- What are you doing?

I asked him.
I was stupid enough to think he'll actually answer me.

He unzipped my dress and pulled it down.

I wanted to turn around and cover myself but before I could he took my hands and cuffed me to the bed.

- This will teach you a lesson.
He said grunting a bit as he lifted his hand in the air.

I screamed as a torrent of pain rushed through me and A loud sound could be heard as the whip hit my skin.

- I told you I won't let it go.

A tear drop fell from my eye.

- And after you speaking to me the way you did, you deserve to be punished twice as hard.

He said raising the whip and hitting me with more power.

I held onto the bed as my skin was getting slit open.

I cried and yelled but he seemed like he didn't notice. I felt my warm blood flow down my back and onto the duvet. I gave up and let hin whip me until he pleased. At the end of the day, I really did just count as an animal.

I opened my eyes to the feeling of something wet touch my forehead.

- Hi...how are you feeling?
Ninas sweet voice filled the room.

I smiled hiding my pain.

- I'm okay.

- Your wounds are luckily not that deep.
Therfore, they don't need to be stitched up.

I let out a sigh of relief.

- Thank you for helping me.

She gave me a smile. Her smile was very sweet and innocent.
Her fringe got longer since I last saw her.

- It's okay, we're friends right?

I nodded, as I was happy that I wasn't alone anymore.

- What about the meeting?

I remembered that that's why all this happened.
I needed to shut my mouth and listen to him or this is what will happen to me if I continue being obedient.

- It hasn't started yet.
She looked at her old watch on her thin, pale wrist.

- Nice watch.
I said.
Her eyes seemed to hide pain.

- Thank you. A friend gave it to me.

- What happened to her?

She took a deep breath and spoke.
Her trembling lips made her words shaky.

- She was being fed on by the prince once.
she paused for a moment.

- And she never made it.

A tear dropped from her eye.

- I'm sorry.

- It's okay. It was long ago.

She gave me a half smile.
I rubbed her hand trying to comfort her.

- Stop smiling and laughing!

Said a loud angry voice.

I looked up to find an angry Dante standing infront of the bed.

- I- I'm sorry master.

He harshly grabbed Ninas wrist and pulled her out of the room.
The door was left open for me to see everything.
