The next day he decided to take a slow morning. He had rushed here and there for some time now. It was time to really take it easy. He made pancakes for the kids, surprising them. He felt happy they appreciated him being home in the morning.

"Do you have a day off?" Ivy asked at the breakfast table.

"No." he chuckled "I'm just taking some time off today."

"Are going to see mom today?" Lily asked.

"Yes." he said "I'm taking some clean clothes to her."

"Okay." she said "Say 'hi' to her."

"I will." Eric said smiling and took a sip from his coffee.

When the kids had left to school, he packed some clothes for her while Rose was putting her shoes on.

"Daddy, come on!" she demanded "We're gonna be late!"

"Yeah-yeah, coming sweetheart!" he sang out and said to himself "God, she's bossy!"

"Okay, ready." he said walking to her.

"Finally!" she said rolling her eyes. That made him chuckle and he said to her sweet "Let's go, commander!"

They walked to the day care, talking. It was their quality time and he loved it.

"Say 'hi' to her." Sarah waved to Eric.

"I will." he said, feeling the excitement already creeping in. He walked quickly to the Infirmary, seeing her in a bathrobe.

"Hey." he said, not sure if he should give her a kiss on her cheek or just let it be.

"Hey." she said, seemingly awkward but brushed it off quickly "Oh, you brought the clothes! Thank you!"

"Yeah, um.. Just picked something." he said handing her the bag. She smiled to him and walked to the bathroom. He remembered the time from the initiation, when she had teased him by asking "Coming?" He let out a chuckle.

Few minutes later she stepped out from the bathroom, wearing black tight leggings, black tank top, her hair brushed. He looked at her with admiration and couldn't help the grin that was forming on his face.

"What?" she asked bit unsure.

"Nothing. It's just... you look like you." he said smug smirk on.

"Really?" she asked and reminded "Not wearing a beanie like I was when you first saw me?"

Eric chuckled to the memory and then said "That's not the first time I saw you" hitting his dirty stare on her. She looked puzzled, trying to remember things from the diary. She couldn't, it was his memory.

"Feel like going to a fieldtrip?" he asked suddenly, excited by the idea he got.

"Fieldtrip? To where?" she asked confused.

"You'll see." he said and ordered "Get ready!" He took out his tab and tapped on the screen.

"Now?" she was surprised.

"Yeah, now." he said glancing at her and smirked.

"Don't you have work to do?" she hesitated.

"Out...of... premises." he said while typing on his tab, then said to her "Not anymore. Come on."

She thought it through, still unsure. She hadn't talked leaving the Dauntless with the doctor.

"Come on. Trust me, I wont let anything happen to you." he purred to her and added "Besides I know how to tie you up, so..." making her gasp and blush. He could see that she was mentally getting ready to say yes, so he said to her "Let me show what the old you liked." She looked in his eyes and nodded, making him glad already. They walked out of the room, seeing Emma coming out of the back room.

"Emma!" he said energized "Just the person I hoped we'd run into."

"At your service, Eric." she said and smiled to Jamie.

"Take this. Keep it safe while we're away." he said giving her his tab. She took it, looking at it, confused "Wait. Where are you taking her?"

"Out." he said already walking away.

"You can't just..." she said but Eric cut her off, without looking over his shoulder "I'll take full responsibility for my wife!" and they walked away. Hearing the word 'wife', made Jamie blush. The confidence he always had when saying this word, was always getting to her. It was as powerful as the word 'dauntless' or 'leader' or 'love'.

They walked towards the exit and straight to the train rails.

"What now?" she asked.

"Now we wait." he said looking to the distance to see if the train was coming.

"The train?" she asked and then was suddenly worried. He noticed it and said "Don't worry. You know what to do."

"There it is!" he said when he saw the train at the distance. The closer it drove, the more she felt nervous. She didn't know how to go on the train. She was afraid. Eric stood next to her, confident than ever.

"Just do as I do." he said and started to run. Soon he was hanging on the handle and hit the button. The doors opened, but instead of getting in he hanged there, shouting "Grab the handle!" She ran as fast as she could, feeling her body getting more alive. She grabbed the handle and he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her in the cart.

"Holy shit!" she said, trying to catch her breath, in shock, brushing her hands through her hair "How did I do that?"

"Your body, your muscles, remember." he said looking at her pleased "You probably don't believe me but, you are... you were the best jumper."

"You mean out of the train?" she asked in disbelief. She barely made it into the train, so she had hard time believing that she could jump out of it.

"Yes." he said smirking "You always flew out and landed with the smoothest somersault ever." She shook her head in disbelief "It's like you're talking about another person. I can't be that crazy."

"It's all you, baby." he said pleased "You just have to remember and embrace it." He sat down and took out a pack of smokes, asking "Mind if I smoke?"

"You smoke?" she asked.

"Yeah." he asked "DO you mind?" he was holding one, waiting.

"I guess not." she said and sat near him. He gave her a smirk and lit his smoke, taking a long drag. She looked at him, mesmerized about the view. He definitely enjoyed it to the fullest, at least he looked like he did. The more she looked, the more she felt weird, she felt a need, making her wonder if she was a smoker.
