pt13- a dance and a date

today was the day, we had to meet snape in a side hall, nothing was said about it just that we had to miss some of our classes, i wasn't complaining. but first we decided to go to the great hall for some lunch as we didn't know how long we'd be there for. as we walked in hermione grabbed my arm and pulled me to the side, i jumped out of my skin.

"hermione!" i yelled in surprise

"they wrote back and this was attached" she held a parcel out in front of her

"well what does it say?" i smiled as she started to open it

"i haven't seen it yet silly, look hold this" she passes me the parcel and i shook it about to see what was inside

"look" she held out the letter so i could read

'dear our beautiful daughters,
we are glad that you're both settling in just fine and are having a good time back at hogwarts. sorry we took such a long time to reply, we wrote a letter and we were going to send it but then we were contacted by the school to send you these (in the parcel)
your mother picked them out, she got them from a beautiful boutique down in london just for this occasion. we hope you both love them, we also put some money in the parcel so you could buy some accessories ect. please let loose and enjoy yourselves as it's a once in a lifetime opportunity, me and your mother went when we were younger too. please update us <3

"we should open the parcel when we are in private, i have no idea what they are" hermione laughed

"look" i pointed up to the owls flying in "lots of people are getting them, go to the table to open it with ron and harry"

"yeh come on" she pulled my arm so we could sit in front of them. she picked up her newspaper and started to read

"look" i pointed at a news article "it's you" i laughed

"i can't believe it, she's done it again" she huffed as she threw her newspaper about then began reading it out so we could all listen

"oh look mums sent me something" ron started opening his box to reveal a rather ugly set of .....dress robes? or that's what they seemed to be, it had orange lace all over. as he pulled it out harry started to mock him and the whole table started to laugh.

"i think we should open ours, maybe they'd be better than ron's" hermione laughed as she tugged open our parcel

"oh wow" i pulled out a beautiful pink dress with frills on it, i then looked at the label 'hermione' "it's for you" i laughed as i handed her dress over

"this must be for you then" she then pulled out a black silk like dress with a big slit at the side and passed to me.

"thanks" i held it up to my shoulders to see how it would look "opinions?"

"better than mine" ron huffed

"brilliant" harry beamed

"you'll have to give me a dance" bobbie winked

"of course bobbie" i smiled, after a few minutes of laughter i went back over to the slytherin table to see the boys and harper.

"what is that?" draco asked as he looked into my hands where i was holding my dress

"oh my parents delivered my dress" i held it up again against my body
