Reasons to Stay

Trigger warning: this chapter has mentions of depression and suicidal thoughts. Please seek help if you struggle with those things.

This scenario: What reasons would the androids and machines give their human s/o to live? How would they help their s/o through their mental trials?

This is part one bc it got a little longer than I anticipated, part two will have operator 21O and Adam and Eve.

2B:

> At first she does not understand why you're sad or why you forget things or why you're always exhausted. She thinks it's something she did and in her quest for answers she found things talking about "teen angst" and "teen drama" which talked about humans with your symptoms who were actually fine.

> That was a terrible choice to go to. You guys actually had an argument about it (2B does NOT argue and neither does you) that involved yelling and it was just ugly. Neither of you like to talk about it anymore other than clearing things up.

> After the arguement she started to look for actual studies and this is when she learned more about humanity's various mental disorders and it scared her.

> How could your brain do that to you?

> Now that she knows what you're going through, she will drop EVERYTHING and go to your side, even if she's in the middle of a mission.

> At first the commander was not happy with her for doing that, but once she learned of your mental state, she decided it was more important and she helped 2B out by giving her less missions and by designing androids who's purpose was to provide therapy for you and talk to you while 2B races to your location.

> He's more emotionally aware than 2B? Like he's more open with his emotions so it's easier for him to express himself, and if you stop being able to do so, he would be greatly concerned.

> She is, after all, a fugitive unit, a YorHa unit wanted dead. While that alone isn't why she understands your pain, it's more because she knows what it feels like to be alone.

> She'd probably identify symptoms before you yourself come to terms with it-and she'd wait until you accepted it yourself. Basically she'd recognize signs of depression and while she would ask about them, she wouldn't force you to get help unless you were doing something that could potentially harm yourself.

>She isn't connected to YorHa's network so she'd risk getting herself killed by getting you some therapists.

>She's lost most of her comrades besides Anemone and she hates the thought of losing you, too, so she makes sure you know how much she loves you.
