Lyra walked into the familiar office of Nathan Petrelli. She smiled as she brushed her fingers against all the awards he won, all the achievements he's won, she then found a source of water in one of the medals. "Wait," she said quickly, she looked at the medal confused, 'World's Greatest Dad', she smiled, didn't Nathan keep this in his pocket all the time? She closed her eyes.

Two kids were running up to Nathan and giving him a hug, Lyra glanced at the two kids, they seemed fun. She then saw Nathan moving into this office, him setting up the Danko operation, she saw him making statements in front of some cameras. Lyra walked closer to Nathan and frowned, why was all of this in black and white?

"Oh my god, Nathan," Lyra whispered, "Hey!" His throat was slashed and blood was quickly pouring out. She placed her hand on his throat and she felt him wince. "Nathan," she whispered, she had never been close to him but she could imagine how much pain Peter would feel if Nathan didn't make it.

She stared at Nathan shocked, she closed her eyes in disbelief, he was sitting on a chair and she crouched down in front of him. She tried using her ability to stop the blood but it didn't work. He would need to go to the hospital, but it was too late for that. So much for being a paramedic.

"Tell Pete-" Nathan coughed out blood, Lyra opened her palm and detected the water, she didn't have enough to help him, the cut was too big. "I-I-Tell him-I'm- s-sorry," he gasped. Lyra nodded. She sighed and touched his face.

Nathan looked up at her, "You, t-treat him well for me," his voice was hoarse and it was hard for Lyra to make out the words, but she nodded understanding what he wanted to say.

"Nathan, he loves you," Lyra whispered, she leaned in and kissed Nathan's forehead, "I'll miss you, Peter will too," she said. "If things were different, maybe I would've gotten to known you better," Nathan closed his eyes, "Yeah?" Lyra asked softly patting his head softly. She heard Nathan hum softly and she felt his pulse slowing down. She felt tears falling down her face, why was she crying?

"Y-yeah," Nathan replied, Lyra looked at his brown eyes and could see he was in pain. She placed her forehead against his and closed her eyes. He needed someone with him.

She smiled at him, "I love you, Nathan," she whispered, he needed these words, he needed to die with comfort. He tried to smile back and he reached his hand at her face, and she grabbed onto his hand. "Rest easy," she whispered.

Lyra glanced at the scene and screamed, "No! Nathan,"

Lyra gasped, "Nathan!" she cried, she suddenly felt tears in her eyes, Nathan was dead, so who was this? She stared at Nathan, "Who are you?" she whispered quickly, Peter was talking to Rene, the Haitian about something. Nathan frowned.

"Woah Woah, what's wrong? I'm right here!" Nathan said softly. Lyra shook her head in disbelief and quickly walked towards Peter, who was done talking to Rene. She tugged onto his shirt.

Peter stared at her and showed her a card, a storage place in Virginia? "Wait we have to go there!" Lyra said quickly. Peter nodded and stared at Nathan.

They entered the storage room and Lyra sighed, "What's in here anyway?" she asked confused. She looked at a strange looking box and opened it, "What the heck?" she whispered in shock. She stared at the sight confused, "Peter," she muttered.

Nathan stared at his dead body in shock. "What is that?" he muttered.

Lyra turned and looked away. "I'm sorry, I have to go," she said quickly. She couldn't be here, she knew Nathan died, why didn't she tell Peter? Why didn't she tell anyone? If those memories were right... She was a terrible person. Peter would never forgive her, he'd break up with her. Lyra stared at her ring and felt tears fall down her face, "I'm so sorry," she whispered as she fell onto the ground, she kneeled and looked up at the sky. "I'm so sorry," she repeated. She felt someone tap her on the back, Lyra turned around to face Peter.

"You knew didn't you?" he asked, his voice shaking, "Who is he?" he shouted. Lyra stared at Peter and closed her eyes, Peter wouldn't believe her.

"I don't know," Lyra whispered. Peter scoffed, and Lyra stared back at him before turning away, she began to run. She heard footsteps following her. "Look I don't know Peter, I saw the memory when I touched Nathan's medal, apparently I was there when he died," she shouted. "I don't even remember it!"

"Stop!" Lyra turned around, it was Nathan and Peter. She didn't know what to do, she didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry," Lyra repeated. "I have to go," she said. She continued to walk but felt Peter grab onto her shoulder. He then hugged her.

"Where are you going to go?" he asked quietly, Lyra looked up and laughed sarcastically.

"Why do you still care?" she said rolling her eyes, tears still falling down, she felt him kiss her neck. She sniffed softly and felt him smile against her shoulder.

Peter then pulled away and touched foreheads with her, "Because I love you, and I want you to be safe," Peter said softly.

She laughed, and leaned in and kissed him, "Okay," she paused, "I'm going to visit an old friend, her name is Lydia," Lyra said quickly.

Peter nodded, "And do you have to go?" he asked softly, "Because I want you to stay, maybe work together?" he asked, "Like old times,"

Lyra smiled and looked to the ground. "It does sound nice huh?" Lyra teased softly, "I'll be back, I promise," she whispered. She quickly kissed Peter passionately.

Peter stared back, "Don't disappear again," Peter said quickly, "Please?" he asked. Lyra nodded.

"I'll try not to," Lyra whispered before giving Peter a hug. She then turned and reached for her pocket, she smiled as she looked at the compass. Home.
