coimetrophobia - the fear of cemeteries
Roonie's POV

"Where'd you hear that?" I asked moving away from Grayson.

"He's cheating on you with some girl named Princess."

"Princess is his crazy ex girlfriend-"

"His crazy girlfriend," he corrected.

"No, I don't believe you."

"Are you serious? Roonie, I heard him on the phone with her-"

"And so did I! He... He said she's obsessed with him and-"

"He told her he'd come visit her."

"Why are you telling me-"

"Because you deserve to know-"

"No, why are you just now telling me this?" I asked. "How long did you know?"

"The day Donovan and I fought."

"You've known for 4 whole days? That's almost a week."

"I wanted to tell you-"

"Why didn't you?!"

"I didn't know how to-"

"So, you just decided to get all lovey dovey with me instead-"

"No, that's not what I was trying to do."

"But you did..." He sighed. "I can't believe this."

"That I didn't tell you?"

"How am I supposed to believe you now? How do I know that you're telling me the truth, the whole truth?"

"I am, Roonie. I am."

"You sat there for the 4 whole days and didn't say a word. You slept in my bed and didn't say a word. I bawled my eyes out beside you at the lake and you didn't say anything. All you told me was that you love me-"

"I do, Roonie. I do-"

"No. The Grayson I know would've told me the moment he found out regardless of how hard it would be."

"I love you, Roonie-"

"I think you should go..."

"Roonie..."

"I need my space from you. You can take or see Sean whenever you want, but I just need some time away from you."

"You don't mean that-"

"Please go."

He got up from his spot on the couch. He walked to my room and grabbed his shirt, his phone, and keys.

"I'll come get Sean later," he said.

"Okay..." He walked out of the door and I shut it.

I immediately reached for my phone and called Donovan.

"You have reached the voicemail of-" I turned the phone off and chucked it across the room. I walked over to my room and shut the door, locking it behind me.

I sunk to the floor and ran my hands through my hair. Why?

- *2 days*

"Has anyone seen my badge?" I asked. Charlie and Dylan shook their heads while eating cereal and watching TV.

"Where'd you leave it?" Dylan asked.

"I swear I left it in my room..." I searched the cupboards in the kitchen.

"Can you get into work without it?"

"Yeah, but I need it to clock in and so that I can identify myself to patients," I explained.
