Sore throat, slight cough, inability to function straight and do work. You know what's going on. You're officially sick. You slump in your chair that you've been trying to do schoolwork in. It's no use. Your brain ain't going to connect to your body any time soon.

You move away from the desk, carrying the textbook with you, just incase you might be able to get a little work done. Just a little. But by the time you hit the bed, all thoughts of work are gone. Far, far gone.

Your eyes begin to shut but the pain in your throat doesn't go away. You drink some water before deciding to honestly try to fall asleep. You succeed.

****

Knock. Knock. Knock.

You groan. "Who is it?" you ask. Your voice is slightly raspy and your throat is hurting in so many different ways than one. It's dry, it hurt to swallow, it feels likes its on fire. And your nose is officially blocked.

"(Y/N)? You ok in there?"

You groan even more. You were supposed to go out with Steve today. You turn to the clock. An hour ago, actually. Had you really slept for that long? And no improvement?

"Hey. I'm sick."

"I can hear that," he chuckles. "Can I come in?"

"If you want to get sick, sure you can."

He's silent for a second. "I can't get sick."

You want to laugh but your throat is stopping you. "Ok. Come in."

The door swings open. He stands there with a bowl of what smells like chicken soup. You're in heaven.

He comes and sits next to you on your bed. "Soup?" he asks.

You nod. "Yes please."

He hands you a smaller bowl after you sit up. Your hands touch it's warmth and you sigh, relaxing. You think you're about to get a spoon, but he ends up feeding you like a child.

At first you complain, but as he continues, you decide it's kind of nice to be fed like a child. There's something relaxing about it. You lean back onto him, still being fed.

He chuckles at your happy look. "Is it good?" he asks.

You nod. "Yup." You pop the P.

He smiles, feeding you some more.

"Steve?"

"Yeah?"

"Sorry we couldn't go out today..."

He shrugs. "It's all good. I'd rather make sure that you're better."

Oh gosh. He's so cheesy. "Thanks."

He smiles and your heart melts. "You're welcome."
