You wished you could run from this. Run away from this problem of yours. You'd had an argument that you weren't too impressed about and you'd fled from your shared apartment. It was stupid. You missed him so uncontrollably that it made you cry. That, and the battery to your phone had ran out.

You'd had enough of staring at the ceiling of the unfamiliar motel room and as you got in the car, your heart began to race. It beat faster than it ever had before and you felt that familiar prick in your eyes that signalled the nearing of tears. You took in a few shaky breaths and let a few out.

"Pull yourself together," you said.

You put your hands on the steering wheel and reversed out of the parking space. You were grateful to be going away from this motel.

You made it to the apartment only to remember that you'd locked your keys in in your scramble to get out.

You rang the doorbell and waited, hoping he was home.

You rang it again.

"Alright! Alright!" you heard. The door began to unlock. "Geez, Natasha. She's not here - " The door swung open and he stopped. "(Y/N)!" He was on the verge of tears.

You collided with him, burying your face in his chest. He smelled so good and felt so good. You missed him so much.

He cupped your face with his hands, pulled you close and kissed you all at the same time as pulling you in and shutting the door.

He had you up against the wall in seconds, devouring you as though he hadn't seen you in a year. It had only been a couple days.

"Don't ever leave me again," he said, pulling back and kissing your forehead.

"Never," you whispered back.
