Steve

You clutched files in your arms, rushing through S.H.I.E.L.D HQ. People pass you, minding their own businesses. You make it down the last hallway before turning and making it to the central room filled with people on computers, monitoring everyone and everything.

You walk to your desk where there's a single rose. You put your papers down and raise and eyebrow, picking up the rose and breathing it in. You smile at the scent which reminds you of the budding romance that's happening between you and one Steve Rogers, someone who you'd met on your first mission.

"Good morning, Captain," you hear. You turn to see Steve smiling at you and you can feel your cheeks go red. He makes his way down from the platform and straight to you. Your cheeks are still burning red.

Your friend next to you stifles a giggle which you can still hear. You giggle too before a pair of strong arms wrap themselves around you. You feel safe.

"Good morning, Miss (Y/L/N)," he says, putting a quick kiss on your lips. He's still getting over the fact that public displays of affection aren't subjected to the scrutiny they were before the ice. He's going red and you just smile.
"Good morning," you say, touching the tip of his nose with the rose. You turn it back to yourself and you breathe it in once more. You decide that you like the smell of him better than the rose and hug him, breathing him in instead. The rose is long forgotten by now.

"It's our one month anniversary," he says, chiming in on your thoughts. He'd always been perfect at playing the boyfriend role. You couldn't believe just how good at it he was. Sometimes you feared he'd find someone else and for a while that stopped you. But it wasn't like that anymore.

"It is," you reply. A simple statement to accept a grand occasion.

He smiles and your heart melts. "Would you like to go and have dinner and a movie with me?" he asks.

Obviously, the answer is
