"You're blinded by your own pride," Odin said, his anger reaching the Prince who stood at the feet of the stairs up to the throne.

A little Thor scoffed. "My pride doesn't affect my right to rule!"

Odin sighed. "You must be nicer to Loki. No more fighting."

Thor looked to Loki who had an expressionless face. "Fine!"

Loki nodded. "Thank you, father."

The two young princes left and immediately Thor, in tears from his scolding, ran down tobias favourite hiding spot. He sat, wedged in between two great rocks, unknown to all of Asgard. It was here where he felt safest and where he felt most at home in his times of anger at his stupid, insolent brother.

"I'm better than him! And more handsome too!" he shouted, putting each hand on either side of his hiding place and pushing. He wasn't strong enough to move them, but the act of pushing brought him relief. "What does father know about my pride?! He knows nothing!"

"Hey."

He looked up and saw you. "What are you doing here?" he asked.

"You're in my hiding spot," you said, mater-of-factly.

He shook his head. "Nu-uh! You're in mine!"

You rolled your eyes. "I'm older."

"I'm ten!"

"Ten and two months!"

Thor grumbled, hurt that he'd been beat. "I'm stronger!"

"And I'm smarter."

He grumbled some more and you went to sit next to him. "So what are you doing here?" he asked.

"I'm running away."

"From what?"

"Me and my brother are playing hide and seek. Do you want to play?"

"I don't like my brother."

You shrugged. "Do you like hide and seek?"

He nodded.

You smiled. "Right. Come on, little prince! Let's play!"

He grumbled some more. "I'm not little!"

"You're counting!" you called back, running away, laughing.

Thor sighed. "One... Two... Three..." ... "Nineteen... Twenty... Ready or not! Here I come!" His little legs carried him as far and as fast as they could, but he couldn't find you.

He looked and he looked, but hide and seek seemed to be too hard as task for him. He sighed, planting his tired self on the sand to watch the sunset from the beach.

You grinned. "Boo."

He jumped, falling backward into the water and drenching his clothing. He groaned. "Why?!" He got out of the water. "Now I'm wet."

You laughed. "Oops."

He ended up laughing too as the both of you walked back to the castle.

"That was fun," he said.

You smiled. "Let's play again sometime!"

He grinned. "You're in!"
