Zhang Liu clasped his hand and said, "That wraps up our class... Please do page 10 and page 11 of your worktext at home as I instructed, see you all tomorrow."

The class stood up. "Goodbye and thank you, Sir Zhang."

"Oh, and also..." Just before Zhang Liu exited the room, he peeked his head back in and continued speaking. "There was a slight mistake in my lecture just now. If you can determine what it was, I'll give you an exemption on the next quiz."

Hearing this, the students widened their eyes from shock.

Most of them didn't even listen to their teacher, and yet, all of them want to be free from a quiz...

Suddenly, the Sleeping Princess, who slept all this time, raised her hand!

Ma Xiaoli had a confident smile on her face, which triggered Zhang Liu's interest.

'It's the girl that Jinlian talked to me about... She even specified me to not wake her up from her sleep.

Well, she said that she didn't sleep in her class anyways...'

Zhang Liu cleared his throat. "I take it you know the mistake I was referring to?"

Ma Xiaoli opened her mouth, and explained.

Her long explanation allowed her classmates to revel in an experience they have never felt before.

This Sleeping Princess always had her head comfortably lying on her pillow, and her mouth always closed, which made it rare for her to speak even a single word.

But now, not only did she speak more than one word, she even stretched into the realm of sentences!

"Oh my god!"

"Her voice is so beautiful..."

Zhou Lei was kind of entranced by her voice as well, but since he had already heard her speaking directly to him before as she offered her pillow, he was not as moved as his other classmates.

Zhang Liu's smile widened as what this student was saying was exactly what he wanted to hear.

"Correct. To think that you were still listening even with your head down. That Jinlian was right in advising me against waking you up.

He nodded in approval. "For the next quiz, Ma Xiaoli is exempted!"

"Wait!" The Sleeping Princess stopped her teacher from continuing.

"Hmm, what is it?" As he was pleased with this student, Zhang Liu did not show any kind of displeasure towards her lack of respect.

Ma Xiaoli turned bashful as she avoided eye contact and looked at the floor, twiddling with her long hair. "Can I... give this exemption to someone else?"

Her statement slightly shocked Zhang Liu. It didn't show on his face, however, and he reagined his composure rather quickly.

"I will accede your request. Who would you like to give it to?"

"Erm..." Ma Xiaoli slowly pointed to someone in the back of the class. "...to him."

At this moment, the girls awed the Sleeping Princess for her ingenious tactics.

'To think that she could come up with this sort of plan in a short time!'

'What else can I say other than, 'As expected of a genius like her'?'

On the other hand, the boys felt intense jealousy sprout inside of them.

'Huh?! Why him? Why not me, huh?'

'Of course it's him again. It's always him...'

One particular boy felt neither awe nor jealousy. Instead, he was faced with an extreme abnormal pressure coming from nowhere.

Zhou Lei looked at Ma Xiaoli's index finger pointed directly at his face.

"M- me?"

Zhang Liu adjusted his glasses hesitatingly.

"...Can I ask the reason, Ms. Ma?" He was just curious about why this excellent student would give up her privilege to such... a lazy man.

Although he knew the answer inside of him, he hoped that it was different.

"Why? Eh, I don't know either..." Ma Xiaoli's face turned red as she spoke.

Seeing the pure student bashfully giving a "reason" to him, Zhang Liu sighed, before bidding goodbye to his students one more time and leaving.

Ma Xiaoli returned to her seat and went back to sleep.

Zhou Lei, however, felt gazes stabbing into his skin.

Some were jealous, and some were planning something...

He didn't know why, but Zhou Lei felt uneasy about the next days of his school life.
