Chapter 59 - Suitors

Time: 9:00 PM (Saturday)

Herschel gave me a quick summary ng aming unang pagtatagpo. I was really starstruck noong una ko siyang makita. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng lalaking mas gwapo pa sa kuya ko, but he immediately showed me his devilish side.

"It seems na mahal mo na ko noon pa, Mr. Rivera," nakangiti kong sabi sa kanya as I cling my arms around his neck.

"I think so too, Ms. Ramos. I guess I was stunned with your freaky dance number," sagot niya while imprisoning me in his arms.

"Herschel, marami nanliligaw sa akin dati pero bigla nila ako iniiwasan after sometime. May kinalaman ka ba doon?"

"I am overprotective of my Vice President, so yes, you can say that."

"Did you threaten them?"

"Something like that. Ayokong may ibang lalaki na mag-aattempt manligaw sayo. I may be an ass to you when we were in highschool, pero gusto ko sa akin lang ang attention mo."

"Di ba sabi mo, you will not fuck me even if I am the last woman on earth?"

"Sienna, do you think I mean it? It was a fucking joke. Ikaw lang ang babae gusto ko makasama noon pa."

"Psssh! May girlfriend ka nga noon at hindi ko alam," mahina kong sabi sabay tanggal ng kamay ko sa pagkakayakap sa kanya.

Naalala ko na naman yung mga sweet moments namin noon sa Alexius Island, pero during that time, girlfriend pala niya si Misty. I feel so betrayed during that time kaya hindi ko talaga kinausap si Herschel ng mahigit isang taon.

"Sienna, it started as a double date with Misty and Crystal. Their parents are close friends of my parents saka ng daddy ni JC. We dated a few times and she assumed that we are on a serious relationship."

"Wag ka na magpaliwanag, Herschel Rivera."

"Gusto ko magpaliwanag dahil ayokong magkaroon uli kami ng misunderstanding ng girlfriend ko. Yes, you heard it right. You are now my girlfriend, Sienna. You are officially mine. Naging masyadong mahaba ang civil war natin noong highschool, I want it to be different now."

Tumango lang ako sa kanya. Sa maikling panahon niya dito sa Perth, we learned to express what we Truly, Madly, Deeply, feel to each other.

"Sienna, gusto mong pumunta sa yacht? Malapit lang dito yung yacht club. We can---"

I put my finger on his lips to stop him. Kahit di niya sabihin, I know exactly what he wants to say.

"I am yours, Herschel... Only yours..." I whispered to him before kissing his lips.

"Sienna, please don't tempt me with your sultry voice. I am here for a vacation and I don't have plans to marry you in a rush. Hindi pa ako nakakabili ng engagement ring para sayo."

"What?"

"Nothing, just kiss me, Sienna."

After ng vacation break ni Herschel, bumalik siya sa Aldridge City. Kahit mahirap, we tried our best to work out our long distance relationship. Kapag may break sa school, it is either bumabalik ako sa Aldridge City or pumupunta dito sa Perth si Herschel.

Pagbalik niya sa Aldridge City, nag set siya ng video call para ipakilala ko sa parents niya. Unlike Herschel na may pagka seryoso, both of his parents are jolly and a bit childish. Masaya nila akong tinanggap bilang girlfriend ni Herschel.

Hindi ko akalain na ang aking number one mortal enemy nung highschool ay ang aking boyfriend ngayon. We have been together for more than a year at dahil sa latest technology, palagi kaming nasa video call ni Herschel as if I am talking to him in person.

After our graduation, bumalik kami sa Redwood High for a homecoming event. Parang isang prom night and a reunion in one.

Kasama ko si Savannah na isang manager na sa hotel restaurant na pag-aari ng parents ko. Nandoon din si Kio, Jordan and Herschel, who are now working in Aquinas Island.

This is the first time na magkakasama uli kaming lima after four years....

The last time na magkakasama kami, may zombie apocalypse na naganap...
