Chapter 32 - Randolf

POV Herschel

Time: Flashback

One afternoon, habang nasa student council room kami, napansin ko na may ka-text si Sienna sa phone niya. Bihira gumamit ng phone si Sienna dahil walang interest ang babaeng ito sa social media. She just used it for calls para tawagan ang kuya niya at ang parents niya sa Australia.

Noong una, akala ko si Kio or JC lang ang kausap niya sa text. For almost ten minutes, naka focus lang siya sa phone niya which is weird dahil nakangiti pa siya na parang isang asong nasisiraan ng bait.

"Sienna, tapos mo na ba yung pinapagawa ko?" tanong ko sa kanya.

"Ha? Anong sinasabi mo?" tanong niya sa akin without looking at me.

"Di ba sabi ko gumawa ka ng online survey para malaman natin kung anong gustong charity works ng mga students? Parang poll?"

"Ay oo nga pala! Sige gagawin ko yun, wag ka mag-alala," sagot niya sa akin pero nakatutok pa rin ang mata niya sa phone.

Sinubukan ko lumapit kay Sienna at dumaan sa likod niya. She is too immersed in her own world and she did not notice na binabasa ko na ang mga text messages niya.

My eyes widened when I realized na hindi si Kio at JC ang kausap niya. Ka text niya si Randolf Dela Rosa, ang class representative of Section Two at part ng Redwood High Student Council. Hindi lingid sa akin ang balita na crush niya si Sienna since first year high school pero never siya nag-attempt na lumapit kay Sienna.

"Di ba sabi ko I need the survey now!" sigaw ko sa kanya sabay hampas ng kamay ko sa table.

"Ay kike ka!" sigaw ni Sienna sa sobrang gulat na gulat at muntik nang mabitawan ang phone niya.

"Do you want me to repeat my orders?"

"Kiking-ina naman, Herschel! Di ba sabi ko gagawin ko naman?"

"Do it now and make it fast!" galit kong utos sa kanya.

Sinunod naman ako ni Sienna at mabilis na ginawa ang online survey na inuutos ko. Actually, kaya kong gawin yun pero mas gusto ko lang talaga siya pahirapan. After a few minutes, she already sent me the link for the survey.

"Tapos na yung online poll. Ikaw na bahala mag send sa email distro ng mga students," sabi ni Sienna na palabas ng student council room.

"At saan ka pupunta? Di ba may pinapagawa pa ako sayo?"

"Natatae ako kasi nakikita ko yung mukha mo. Gusto mo sumama sa CR? Baka gusto mo hugasan ang pwet ko?" inis na sabi niya bago lumabas.

Napansin ko na may katext pa rin siya habang naglalakad sa corridor. Hindi ako naniniwala na sa CR pupunta si Sienna kaya sinundan ko lang siya. I have a feeling that she's on her way to meet Randolf.

Sienna is walking towards the South Section at walang masyadong tao sa lugar na yun. I saw Randolf right away na nakaupo sa tapat ng entrance ng chapel. He is a holding a rectangular box of chocolates.

Chocolates? Is he courting Sienna now?

I don't know what happened but I found myself stalking Sienna and Randolf. I can't stop the urge to listen to their conversation.

"Sorry natagalan ako. May pinagawa kasi sakin si Demon President," nakangiti na sabi ni Sienna kay Randolf.

Demon President? Tatamaan talaga ang babaeng ito sa akin!

"Ok lang yun, Shen. Alam mo naman na hihintayin kita kahit gaano katagal. Chocolates for you. Di ba favorite mo yung dark chocolates? I ordered it from Japan," sagot ni Randolf sabay bigay ng box of chocolates kay Sienna.

"Thanks, Randolf. Bakit nga pala tayo andito?"

"Gusto lang kita makita ng malapitan. I can't get close to you dahil palagi may bantay."

"Bantay? Sino? Si Kio or si Jordan?"

"Si President Che."

"Yung impaktong president natin? Psssh! Wag mo pansinin yun. Nasa menopausal stage na kasi kaya masungit."

What the fuck! Impakto na ko tapos nasa menopausal stage pa?

"Shen, basahin mo ito pag-uwi mo. I am quite lost for words kapag kaharap ka, pero lahat ng nararamdaman ko ay nasa sulat na yan," sabi ni Randolf sabay bigay ng isang love letter.

"Randolf..."

"I really like you, Shen and I hope you can give me a chance. Think about it."

Sienna just nodded at him and smiled. She looks very happy dahil sa attention na binibigay sa kanya ni Randolf. Nang nakaalis na si Sienna, lumapit ako kay Randolf and he was stunned when he realized na nandoon ako.

"President Che? Kanina ka pa ba dyan?" he asked nervously.

"Yes and I have heard everything," I answered with my most serious face.

"Just so you know, maayos ang intention ko para kay Shen. I really like her---"

"I don't care, Randolf. Starting today, you will leave her alone. Consider that as my order."

"Order? Che, aren't you being unreasonable? What is between me and Shen is personal. Hindi ka dapat nakikialam sa amin---"

"Randolf, you are nice guy and I have nothing against you. But Sienna Ramos is mine, just mine!" mahina kong sagot sa kanya with an emphasis sa word na Mine.

"But you are just friends. Who gave you the right to---"

"No, we are not just friends. We are more than that. We just can't let anyone know what's the real score between us. I hope my message is clear enough, Randolf. Please back off."

Nagulat si Randolf sa sinabi ko. Kahit ako ay nagulat sa mga lumabas sa bibig ko. The word mine echoes like a beautiful music to my ears, but it also sounds selfish as Sienna is not really mine.

"I am sorry, Che. Hindi ko alam na kayo na ni Shen---"

"Now you know and I expect you to keep this as a secret. I don't want to be rude to you Randolf, but consider Sienna as my property and I don't want anyone touching or meddling with my property."

Hindi ko alam kung ilang beses ko na ito ginawa sa mga manliligaw ni Sienna and I don't have a fucking explanation why I am doing this. It is unfair on her part and once she finds out about this, she will really hate me...
