SEBASTIAN

Matapos lang ang nakaline-up na meeting ko that day, I decided na umuwi na rin para puntahan ang asawa ko. Something is really going on and I felt the need to force her to tell me. What happened at the office is not so like her at all. She's definitely driving me nuts!

Malapit na kami sa penthouse nang mag-ring ang cellphone ko.

"Raul?"

Sir, nasa hospital po si Ma'am Ady. Hinimatay po!

"What?!" Mabilis ko pang tapik sa balikat ni Spencer. "What the hell happened to my wife?!"

I have no idea, Sir. Nakita ko na lang po kasing hinimatay sa kusina. Buti na nga lang po at hindi pa umuuwi si Norma at nasalo kaagad niya si Ma'am Ady.

"What hospital?!" Sinenyasan ko si Spencer na tumangu-tango pa.

The one you own, Sir.

"We'll be right there!" Agad ko pang putol sa tawag. "GH, Spencer!"

"Yes, Sir," sagot pa niya sabay paspas na pinaandar ang sasakyan papunta sa hospital.

Nang makarating kami sa hospital ay agad na naramdaman nang lahat ang presensya ko. Tinakbo ko ang kahabaan ng lobby at mabilis na hinanap ang kwartong tinutukoy ni Raul. Agad ko ring namataan si Norma kausap ang doctor.

"Sir..." Si Norma na abot-tainga pa ang ngiti.

"Mr. Greene." Ang doctor na agad pang nakipagkamay sa akin.

"Dr. Travis, how are you doing?"

"Great! It's nice to see you again, Sir." Tipid pa siyang ngumiti.

"How's my wife?" Hindi na rin naman ako nagpaliguy-ligoy.

"She's doing okay. It's normal for pregnant woman to faint. But don't worry, she'll be okay. I already made some test with her and everything seemed to be normal. Just take care good care of her and don't stress her out. She'll be fine."

"Pregnant?" tulalang sabi ko pa.

Oh-kay...

Honestly, hindi kaagad nagsink-in ang sinabi ni Dr. Travis.

I thought she had her shot?

"Hindi n'yo po ba alam?"

"No. I have no idea," pag-amin ko rin naman.

I am still in state of shock right now.

From the corner of my eye, Raul was just as excited and telling the good news to Spencer.

"How many weeks?" I ran my hand through my hair and nervously insert my other hand on the pocket of my pants.

"Six weeks, Sir. Congratulations!" ngiting-ngiti pang aniya.

Six weeks?

"Y-eah, t-hanks..." Hindi ko pa rin alam ang ire-react.

How did this happened?

Hindi ba niya alam at hindi niya sinasabi sa akin?!

"Naku, Sir, magkaka-baby na kayo!" Si Norma na hinawakan pa ako sa braso at napapatalon pa sa sobrang excitement.
