Silver x daughter!reader: Quality Time

You are a cat or hedgehog

Sometimes people tend to miss it....

(Y/N) ran up to the living room window looked out, ran back to the sofa and sat down. Then she got up again, ran to the window, looked out, and sat back down in the sofa.

She tapped her feet a couple of times and stood up again.

"Don't worry (Y/N) daddy will be home soon enough." Her mother, Blaze, said gently.

Not looking up from her book, knowing all too well what her child was doing.

"But I want him to be home now!" (Y/N) huffed flopping into the sofa.

Blaze put down her book.

"Well I'm afraid you can't speed up time." She smiled at her pulling the fidgety (Cat/Hedgehog) onto her lap.

"But didn't daddy do that once?" (Y/N) asked.

"No he traveled through time." Blaze replied.

(Y/N) just gave an almighty sigh as she let her mother mess with her (H/L) (H/C) hair, the same colour as Blaze's father.

Like any other seven year old should (Y/N) absolutely adored her dad, Silver. But the problem was that he often had to help out Sonic with missions and what not. So she was often left waiting impatiently for him to come home.

Especially this time, as this mission had caused him to spend a week away from home. Sure she could occupy her time by practicing her fire powers, inherited from her mum, that had a turquoise colour rather than orange, thanks to her dad. Or she could help her mum with the Sol Emeralds, but even after a while that isn't very entertaining.

But a click of the door got (Y/N) excited. Dashing up to the door her heart back flipped in joy as she saw Silver.

"Daddy!"

Before he'd even had the chance to close the door he felt a certain (C/H) hugging his legs.

"Hey there (Y/N)! Did you miss me?" he asked her ruffling her hair.

But like he had to ask, the way she was hugging him was enough to tell him.

"Uh huh! What did you do this time!? Did you fight any robots!? Did you use a Chaos Emerald!?" she asked giddily.

"Now (Y/N) let him get through the door." Blaze smiled.

They were just able to convince (Y/N) to let go of Silver for the few seconds it took him to walk to the sitting room, and as soon as he and Blaze sat down (Y/N) had jumped onto his lap.

A sort of 'story time' then took place as Silver told them both what had happened. This time Silver had gone to the Station Square to help Sonic and the others search for several shards of the Master Emerald, luckily they'd found a fair few. And Knuckles claimed he could find the last of the small number on his own.

So Silver gladly came home having missed Blaze and (Y/N).

However (Y/N) was a bit of a nuisance that night, with her refusing to go to bed wanting the story repeated again. Even though Silver had told her every detail three times over. Eventually though she was tucked up in bed, and the worn out parents were happy to see their bed.

The next morning was nothing out of the ordinary, they all ate breakfast like usual and then Blazed said.

"(Y/N) I have to go meet Marine in a short while but do you want to practise your powers a little before I go?"
