Five months have passed since Mitch died.

Scott walked over to the headstone, sitting down as he examined it. He didn't cry though because that isn't what Mitch would want him to do. He would want him to happy. That's Mitch always wanted anyway.

To be happy.

Everyone told Scott that it's unhealthy for him to go to the headstone everyday. Memories are bound to come back and make Scott sad. He wouldn't be sad though. He wanted to end things once and for all.

"You were an amazing addition to the Pack," Scott began, smirking a bit. He took a deep breath, shaking his head. "I knew you liked me the moment you saw me. We were a duo, a duo that would beat anyone they wanted to if they could.

"You were my best friend. You held me when I cried and let me get angry when I was angry. You had the best advice for me and I can't thank you enough. I can't believe you're dead though. Everyone was surprised."

This was true. Mitch jumped in front of Scott, his shoulder being shot. Kirstin laughed when she realized what she had done and was about to shoot Mitch one more when a bullet went through her head. She fell to the ground, blood pouring out as she began to die. It was Mr. Maldonado, a gun in his hand as he looked at everyone with tears in his eyes.

That was the surprise, even what he said afterwards:

"I had to kill her. I kill people who hurt others. My daughter hurt you guys and I couldn't take it anymore. You're saved now."

After that, Mitch was rushed to the hospital. On the way there, his heart stopped and he was pronounced dead until they reached the hospital. His heart began to beat again and he was okay.

The surgery was time consuming and dangerous since the bullet was lodged in some tissue, but the bullet was removed successfully. For the first couple of months, Mitch's arm was paralyzed and he had to go through physical therapy to make sure that his arm worked again. It unfortunately never healed, but he is better now and healthier than ever.

The biggest worries were the babies. When Mitch died, everyone was sure of the babies passing away, but they were okay. They were still thriving and kicked at Mitch's stomach, as if they were telling him to survive because he was strong. Because of the babies, Mitch survived and is safe from harm.

Scott glared at the headstone, shaking his head. He stood up to leave, looking at it once more.

You will be missed dearly, my love

"I won't miss you at all. I'm happy you're gone now."

Scott walked off, looking at his watch. He smiled when he realized that it was time.

Time to see his beautiful children.

I'm so happy you're alive, Mitch. I love you.

"Okay, Mitch. I'm making the incision now. Are you okay?"

"Yep. Thank you for asking, Dr. Thomas," Mitch replied, smiling up at Scott. He smiled even more when his husband kissed the scar from the bullet. "I'm so happy I'm alive."

"I'm happy you're alive too," Scott whispered, holding Mitch's hand when his face became uncomfortable. "You're okay, baby. It's okay."
