"So.....what are you thinking?" Colby asked as we walked up the stairs. "I think it's great so far. What are you thinking?" I asked as he grinned.

"I think it's nice. It's homey which I know will be good for raising a family." He said as we walked into one of the rooms that was upstairs.

The bedrooms upstairs were all fairly normal and were a nice size so I could see each of the kids getting excited about making their rooms their own.

It wasn't until we got to the last bedroom that I felt my eyes watering with a realization that this was the perfect house for us.

Along the window of the last room there was reading nook which I could practically already see Jenna sitting at.

"It's perfect." I said quietly and looked up at Colby. "This is Jenna's room." He said with a nod and wrapped his arms around me.

"So you think we should get it?" I asked and looked up at him. "I think it's perfect." He said then leaned down and gave me a gentle kiss.

"Let's go tell Celeste." He said then took my hand and went to lead the way down the hallway.

I couldn't help but feel giddy, knowing there was a good possibility we were going to be making this the house that we would raise Maisie in.

This was going to be where my siblings would continue to grow and would eventually move out and live their lives.

We were finally going to get a little more normalcy.

"Well? What do you think?" Celeste asked as Colby and I made our way back to the front door. "How much are they asking for?" Colby asked and squeezed my hand gently.

"One point two million." Celeste said as Colby nodded. "We'll offer one point five." He said with a confident nod. "Seriously?" She asked as Colby chuckled.

"We want it. We'll do anything to get it." He said and looked over at me. I smiled slightly then looked at Celeste.

"Well, I'll put up the offer in and I will let you know what they say." She said as I grinned.

"Perfect, thank you." I said as we made our way out of the house once again.

Before we fully left I took in the house that I wanted to make our future home.

There was no better place considering how safe it was.

It was gated and there was a security system and that was really all I could ask for.

When Colby and I got to the car he looked over at me with a beautiful smile.

"What's got you all smiley?" I asked as he sighed. "I got married to you and we got a house that works for us." He said and held his hand out to me.

"We haven't gotten it yet." I reminded. "No, but we will." He said then took my hand and started driving.

"I can't wait to see Maisie." I said quietly as I looked out the window. "I know, it's been like five hours. I don't know how you've kept so calm." Colby teased.

"The only thing keeping me sane is knowing she's in the safest place she can be." I hummed as Colby kissed my hand.

"She's the luckiest girl in the world to have a mom like you." He said quietly. "I love her more than anything in the whole world." I said as my eyes watered.

"Are you crying?" Colby asked as I nodded. "A little bit." I said as he breathed a laugh and looked straight ahead.

Right when he did that though a car was spinning out in front of us, nearly hitting our car.
