The rest of the weekend was hard. I couldn't go anywhere and neither could the kids.

We never really did things outside of the house anyways, but I wasn't very fun to be around.

My heart ached from the feeling of Colby and I not being alright.

The nerves that were swelling in my heart, knowing that he would be coming back today were almost unbearable.

I felt like I was going to have a heart attack.

"So uh...are we going to school?" Jenna asked as I put Juniper's hair in pigtails. "I hope so." I said and pursed my lips.

Colby didn't let me know when he was coming back and I couldn't drive so if he came too late then the kids wouldn't go to school today.

I probably could have texted him but I didn't want to be the one to break the ice between us.

"I want to go to school!" Juniper said as I nodded. "You going to school, kid." Colby said as he walked into the room.

I felt my heart skip a beat as I looked up at him. It had only been two days since I saw him but I couldn't get over how excited I was to see him.

He grinned at me for just a second before Juniper stood up. "COLBYYYYY!!!!" She yelled and ran to him.

"Hey, miss me?" He asked as she nodded. "I thought you were gone forever." She said as he shook his head.

"Can't get rid of me that easily. We gotta get you guys to school." He said then looked up at Jenna.

"Are the boys ready?" He asked as she shook her head. "Probably not. They didn't think you'd show up on time." Jenna explained as Colby chuckled.

"Well I guess we should go get them then." He said then turned to leave the room with Juniper on his hip.

"You okay?" Jenna asked as I nodded.

"For now, yeah." I said with a sigh. I knew that things were going to get tense when Colby got back from dropping off the kids.

Sure, seeing eachother might have sparked some of that passion that we have between us but that's didn't mean it would stay. It could go away if we were screaming at eachother.

"Go ahead and wait in the car, they'll be out soon." I said to Jenna. "Okay, good luck." She said and patted my shoulder.

"It'll be fine." I said with a nod as she left the room. I stood up then went to go make the bed since I was kinda afraid to go find Colby and the other kids.

"We're leaving." Colby said as he poked his head into the room. "Okay." I said quietly, looking up at him. "We'll talk when I get back?" He asked as I nodded.

I could feel my heart in my throat as he nodded and walked out of the room.

There was just so much tension surrounding us that I was terrified we wouldn't last past today.

I wanted to think our relationship was strong enough to last but he could have had the best weekend of his life without me.

While he was away, I decided to clean the house since I was so restless.

The fate of Colby and I's relationship was looming over me, the feeling that it would end today giving me a stomach ache.

I loved Colby more than anything but something needed to change if we were going to be together.

I was in the middle of scrubbing the stove when I heard the familiar rhythm of his footsteps.

"How was your weekend?" I asked quietly, trying to break the ice. "Do you want honesty, or are we done with that?" He asked as I turned and looked at him.
