Prince's POV
Bella and Elaine were scheduled to fly back to California this morning for the final fittings on their wedding gowns this afternoon. Prince was a little nervous about Bella traveling without him even though Ross, Melvin, and Ray would fly with them. The 4 had stayed in their homes last night and enjoyed the feeling of being in their own space. This morning Ross had made a wonderful breakfast for them and served it in Bella's kitchen. It was the first meal they had ever had there, which made it even more special. Bella insisted on taking a picture of the 4 and their bodyguards at their lovely kitchen table with the floor to ceiling glass windows showcasing the glorious yard that ran between their two houses. The gardener had been there doing some plantings off the back patio, and they had asked him to take the picture so that all of them could be in it. The smiles in the picture were contagious, and all who looked at it over the years would find themselves grinning also. Clearly, the 4 hardworking performers were happy, and their security team was happy for them. The picture would remain one of Bella's most treasured all the days of her life. Prince and Carlos rode to the airport with Bella and Elaine. Both girls thought it was overkill to have 3 of their security team travel with them, but Prince stood his ground. He wanted them protected, and that was that. They would join them back in Los Angeles the next evening, but there were some details that the men needed to handle with their financial advisor before the wedding, and this was the ideal time to do that. Prince was an absolute junky about keeping his word, and he and Carlos had some promises to make good on.
Carlos's POV
When they returned to their homes from the airport, they went to Carlos and Elaine's place. Carlos had some documents that they needed to review together. He and Prince had to call in some favors to get them, but when their sources learned why they needed the documents, they were more than happy to help. When Prince and Carlos were just starting and making a little money, they, of course, had increased the earnings of their band members as well. Miguel Torres, their rhythm guitarist, had helped his parents buy a house with his newfound wealth and had moved in with them to help with expenses. It was his fondest wish to pay off their home for them. The timing was perfect because there was a certain senorita that he had met about 2 years ago, who was also a graduate of the University of Chicago and was a teacher in the suburb of Highland Park that he was really gone over. Her name was Juana Gabarra, and he wanted to ask her to marry him but did not feel free to do so until his parent's future was secured. Prince and Carlos had never told him, but they had promised themselves that they would help him pay off the home when he and his parents first bought it. He was an excellent friend and loyal band member who had worked harder than anyone they knew to graduate and help his folks, and it was something that they really wanted to do. Carlos had a conversation with Miguel while they were on the road, and he said that he had saved up all but $30000.00 of the remaining balance on the house, even though he was handling the monthly note. The total balance was $90,000.00. Carlos had asked how much he thought the type of wedding that his future bride would want would cost. Miguel had speculated that since she was one of three girls and the other two were already married, it would probably be similar to their weddings. They had been small and intimate and wonderful. He thought that he could do it in another 2 years for about 25 to 30 K. Prince and Carlos had agreed to put in $30K each on the house, which would allow Miguel only to have to use $30,000 of the $60,000 he had saved. That would allow him to have enough for a ring and a downpayment on a home of his own. In Mexican culture, the bride's family would do most of the wedding. But Prince and Carlos would make certain that their wedding gifts would be very generous as well, just in case! The two friends sat in Carlos's study and looked over the Mortgage information that gave them the house's payoff amount. Satisfied that the numbers were correct, Carlos picked up the phone and called their financial advisor and ordered him to write a check to Miguel Torres for $60,000.00 and code it as a gift. Their advisor said he would drop it by in an hour. They would meet with Miguel later today and give it to him. They were very excited about doing that. In the meantime, they went over some other business, but not until after they had called Miguel and made arrangements to meet him for lunch at The Gage. The 4 and 1/2 star restaurant had been doing business in its iconic Michigan Avenue location since the 20th Century and served incredible food. When they were boys, they used to dream about having meetings with music people there. Now it was one of their favorite places when getting together with friends in their home city. They fixed the time to meet at 12:30 PM. Prince went back to his house to change clothes accompanied by Frank, while Larry stayed with Carlos while doing the same. At 12:05 PM, Prince and Frank got into the rented SUV and drove to the front gate of Carlos's home. The gate opened and admitted them, and Carlos and Larry came right out and got into the vehicle. Both men would be leaving their leased vehicles in LA when they formally moved into their new homes. They would be car shopping in Chicago tomorrow morning before leaving to join the girls. The new cars would be one of many surprises for them. Another big one would be their LA home, which the two men bought together. With 2 master suites and 4 other bedrooms, it would be a great house until their babies became pre-teens, and then...they would buy another. But for now, it could house the 4 and their security team whenever they were in LA. It was located in Northridge, an LA suburb, and had a Beverly Hills look without the Beverly Hills price tag. They had bought it furnished, and they hoped that the girls would be pleased. They would take the girls to see it when they got back to LA this week.
They arrived at The Gage at 12:20 PM to find Miguel waiting for them in the bar. He had ordered a Margarita and the performers joined him in having one once they were seated at their table. They could tell that Miguel had no idea what they were up to. He was not surprised to hear from them really as the band members often got together in small groups as they had been friends since they were teens. However, he was a little surprised that they were doing so with the wedding so close, though. They talked like the old friends they were, and then Carlos said, "Miguel, we have something that we want to talk to you about. We remembered when you bought the house with your parents and then moved in to help them with expenses. We have always admired how you cared for them and looked after your siblings too". Prince added, "we also know that you have found the woman you want to marry. She is a real beauty, by the way! When do you intend to ask her"? "Miguel smiled and said, "thank you, Prince. She is really gorgeous, isn't she? I would ask her tomorrow, but I need to pay off my parent's house first, and then I need to buy us a home. I think If things continue to go well for the band, and I know they will, I should be able to swing it in about 2 years". Prince smiled and said, "but you would ask her tomorrow if you could"? Miguel nodded, yes. "Boy, do I know that feeling," Prince said. He remembered how he had wanted to be with Bella when she was so very young, and it was impossible. Carlos then spoke, saying, "we think that you deserve to have that opportunity now." "When we were just beginning to make some money, and you told us you wanted to pay off the house for your parents, we promised the Creator and ourselves that we would help you do it as soon as possible," Prince added. "We can now, and so we want to give this check to you for $60,000. That way, you will have enough left of what you have saved to buy that beauty of yours a really nice ring and the down payment on a nice home too", Carlos said, handing Miguel the envelope. When he looked inside it, Miguel could not believe it. His eyes flooded with tears. He said, "Oh, thank you, thank you, my friends, but I do not know how I can ever repay this." Prince looked at Miguel and said, "when you can, just help someone else." Miguel sat there in silence for a moment. He remembered back when his dad had needed money, and he had let him pawn his treasured electric guitar. These two friends of his had come to hear him play at the music store where he practiced his lessons for school their freshman year after the guitar had been lost. The next day, Carlos had come back with his dad, who had bought him a brand new electric guitar to become a band member. "Prince, I will. I promise I will". Every year after that, no matter how small, Miguel always made a sacrificial contribution to The Creators Touch. He would also leave a sizeable endowment to the charity in his will when he died. Miguel would never forget the kindness of these two extraordinary men, and his children would be told this story of who they were often throughout their lives. The men had finished their lunch reminiscing about their early band days and parted more like brothers than friends. As Prince and Carlos got back into their vehicle, heading back to their homes, they fist-bumped and, pointing to the sky, said, "praise the Creator." They went back to their homes and decided that they would pack and hang out together for the rest of the evening at Prince's place. In the morning, they would look at some cars to have here in Chicago. After both men had packed, Larry and Carlos had walked across their common back yard to Prince's place, and they ordered some pizza and enjoyed each other's company while watching a series of playoff games that were on Sound Cloud. The men cleaned up the kitchen and family room, and then Carlos returned to his place for the night. They would get an early start in the morning as the dealerships opened at 8:00, and they had a 6:00 PM flight. Frank checked the house and armed the night alarm system, and the two went to their rooms for the evening.
Prince's cell went off just as he entered the master bedroom. Looking at it, he saw that it was Bella. "Hi, Mama." "Hi, baby. I can't sleep", Bella said, sounding really sad. "What's wrong," Prince asked? "I don't know...I think I am just not used to sleeping without you anymore," she answered. "I will be home tomorrow, baby. Let me play something for you, Bella", Prince said and then put on a rehearsal tape of a song he was working on for the next album called Bedtime Story.
"As the song ended, he asked...is that better Mama? Do you think you can sleep now"? "Oh yes, baby," Bella said, yawning. "It is a beautiful song," she added. "Good night, Prince," Bella said. "Goodnight, Bella," he said, disconnecting the call. It was nice to be missed, he thought, smiling as he pulled off his clothes and showered and got ready for bed.
The men were on the road to the dealerships at 8:00 AM straight up. Prince had his eye on a 2 seater Beamer, while Carlos liked the Infinity Q60 coupe. They both liked the vehicles in Silver or Black. The men had leased the two vehicles within 2 hours. They then started looking into cars for Bella and Elaine. They would let them drive in Chicago as people left them alone; however, they would still have security covering them in both cities. For the girls, the men got an Infinity Q-50 in Blue for Elaine and an Infinity Crossover Q-30 in Bronze for Bella. Their women would be thrilled. They arranged for the cars to be delivered the next day with big bows on the top. Bella's bow would be Purple and Elaine's Red. Royal Sr. and Alejandro would receive and secure the vehicles in the appropriate garage. They would turn on the newly installed alarm systems before leaving the property.

"Mission accomplished," Carlos said as they got back into the rented SUV. On the way back to the house, Prince called Greg and told him their errands were finished and asked for an earlier flight time. Greg, who was at the airport, checked and said that if they could get there within a half-hour, they could get an 11:30 take-off time. Then Frank drove into Prince's driveway, and Prince grabbed his bag, set the alarm, and then they did the same thing at Carlo's home. They took to the air and arrived at the airport at 11:10. They boarded the smaller Arista craft that Greg had arranged to fly and took off at precisely 11:30 AM. They were on the ground at 1:30 PM California time. They deplaned, and Larry went and grabbed an air taxi as the girls and Security had taken the SUV home when they arrived yesterday. They pulled into their garage at 2:00 PM, and both of their ladies were at the back door to greet them. They said nothing about the cars. That would be a wedding surprise when they got back from their honeymoon.
Elaine's POV
The girls were all squeals and smiles as they greeted their men. They walked into the house and were immediately bombarded with a conversation about how well the fittings had gone. All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen and ushers were now done with their final fittings. Only Prince and Carlos remained to be done. The 2 men promised they would go tomorrow, and the girls said good because they had already booked an appointment for 10:00 AM tomorrow. Prince and Carlos looked at each other, each thinking the same thing..." well, this is how marriage works." Prince had masked his thoughts but clearly heard Carlos's and said, "yeah, man," softly. The two men smiled while Bella and Elaine looked at them. Bella knew Prince had masked his thoughts but could pretty much figure what he was thinking. It didn't matter as the two men were happy to go. Bella asked if they were hungry, and both men said yes as they only ate snacks on the plane because they did not wait for it to be stocked before taking off. Ross had made some vegetable tempura for lunch, and there was plenty left over for the men. Bella dipped the veggies in the batter and then into the hot oil in the wok. In no time, they had a delicious meal beginning with a clear chicken broth for their men. Elaine had set the table and poured drinks for everyone. Security ate some more, too, and then Melvin and Ray cleaned up the kitchen.
The 4 went to the family room and talked over some of the last-minute must-do items before the wedding. Prince told them about an errand they needed to run after the fitting tomorrow, which was fine with the girls. Elaine shared that they had finished wrapping all of the attendant and in-law gifts today and had put them into a canvas carryall to go on the plane with them. They had included the 4 wedding rings and put them into the canvas bag also. They had locked the bag up in the large floor safe in the study for safety's sake. The gifts for their men were in there also, as were the gifts for Elaine and Bella from their future husbands, but they had already been wrapped when they arrived from the jewelry shop. Their wedding dresses would be delivered tomorrow. Their men's outfits would come simultaneously as long as they made their 10:00 appointment on time. They could expect them to show up at about 4:30 PM. They were so excited they were chattering like little birds. Prince and Carlos looked at each other again and just smiled. Their women were happy, and that was all that mattered. Bella asked Prince about the song he had played for her last night, and he told her it was something that his uncle had written for one of his protege's, Sheila E, many years ago. It was so lovely though he was going to put it onto the next album. She agreed and asked if he would forward her a copy for her playlist. He said he would. She was eager to play it for Elaine. Elaine and Bella then dropped a bomb on their unsuspecting fiances. This would be the last week that they would sleep in the same room before the wedding. "What," Prince said...a little louder than he intended. Carlos said, "you are kidding, right"? "No, we are not kidding," both girls said at the same time. " We think it will only make the wedding and the wedding night more enjoyable," Elaine said. "And more meaningful," Bella added softly. Why do we need to do that" Carlos asked? "Because we want to," Elaine said with Bella nodding her agreement. Prince rolled his eyes to the ceiling and said, "I think that is stupid. It's not like we have not been sleeping together for the last 2 years. "We know," said Bella, ignoring the "stupid" reference. "But we think that a week will be just enough time for it to have an impact on our feelings and our needs too, Bella finished, blushing a little. Prince started to object but then thought about it. He would break his Bella's seal in a little over a week, and he wanted that night to be extra special. He looked at Carlos, who was looking particularly frustrated at the moment, and said, "man, let's talk for a minute." They stepped into the dining room and talked. When they came out, they said, "okay, but where are we going to stay"? "I will move into the room with Bella," Elaine said. "You two can be in my and Carlos's room." Both men quietly said, "okay." Prince looked at his watch. It was 10:00 PM already. He wanted some private time with his Bella before the countdown week of no sex started. He had one night left as tomorrow was Saturday! Bella, let's turn in. He put his hand out to take hers, and she smiled and put her hand in his. "See you in the morning, roomie," Bella said. Elaine laughed and said, "yes, ma'am." Prince and Bella went to their room, bathed, and spent the rest of the night making delicious love. Elaine and Carlos were having their last night of whoopie too. Before they slept, Prince apologized for saying that the idea of not sleeping together for a week was stupid. Bella smiled and whispered, "I know. You were just caught off guard". She had learned to be patient with Prince and not to confront him on things unless really necessary. If given space to think, he normally arrived at the place he needed to be...the one that would please not only Bella but The Creator also. As they fell asleep, Prince was smiling from the love Bella had just given him. His last thoughts, though, were that next week would be the longest week of his life as his eyes closed, and he fell into a deep sleep holding his Bella.
Prince's POV
The next morning, after an early breakfast, Prince moved what he would need for the weekend into Carlos and Elaine's room under Bella's direction. He had some ideas for the new album cover that he would discuss with Carlos tonight in "their room." The 4 would fly on Monday to the venue. Bella had already started packing the things they would take to Mexico with them. They would be there for the week before the wedding and then for a week after. The weather was warm and humid in Mexico, so he was certain that the weather would be the same for their next destination. He and Carlos had decided to take their new wives back to Japan for two additional weeks, where the average temperature in June was an average of 86 degrees Fahrenheit. They would then return to the states to their Chicago homes and settle in before returning to Los Angeles for several days of meetings and then working on the new album. It would be called simply Prince and the World Changers. They would fly into Kyoto, Japan on Sunday, June 16, spend a week there and then another in Kobe, and head back to Chicago on Sunday, June 30, 2216. They would not tell their brides where they were going from Mexico until the reception after the wedding. However, they would tell them to pack two additional weeks of clothes using the same temperature guidelines they were using for Mexico. They would be in Chicago until Sunday, July 28, when they would leave for LA. Christian had scheduled meetings on Thursday and Friday, August 1 and 2, with Saturday on hold if they needed additional time. In addition to his cover ideas, Prince would share his thoughts on the album song list with Carlos tonight. He called Christian about booking the Studio 3 Rehearsal Hall for daily rehearsals beginning Monday, August 6, 2216. They would rehearse during the day and record whatever was ready after dinner at about 6:00-9:00 PM. He wanted to have the Album laid down by the end of August, but he knew going any later at night would cause problems on the homefront! That he was not going to do!
After their fittings, they headed toward Northridge with Prince at the wheel. They were stopping for lunch at a very upscale place for lunch in Northridge called the Honor Bar. Christian had told Prince and Carlos about it, and it was well worth the stop. The food was delicious. Returning to the car, Prince drove only about 5 miles and then pulled up in front of one of the loveliest homes Bella and Elaine had ever seen.
Prince got out, and without saying a word, walked Bella to the front door as did Carlos with Elaine. "Whose house is this," Bella asked as they walked up the walkway. Prince said nothing and instead put a key into the front lock and then, stepping inside, put in the code turning off the alarm. Then he answered, "it is ours, Carlos and I bought it"! Bella and Elaine started squealing and jumping up and down. "There are two master bedrooms with bathrooms ensuite and 4 more really spacious bedrooms. There is a bath for every room, even though they were not ensuite so that each set of the parents would have one when they came to visit. No-one would feel deprived. Let me show you around." As they walked through, the girls were just thrilled. Carlos picked up the tour description, saying, "With 6 bedrooms, there is room for Security and babies. We bought it furnished, but you girls can change out whatever you like-especially whatever rooms you want for the babies".
"The one-room Prince and I will claim, though, is the music room. Currently, it has a 2 person treadmill and a drum kit in it," Carlos said. "We will add a piano right away and move the treadmill to another room." "I already picked out the piano," Prince said. "It is a small Black Baby Grand. Come-on, let me show you". They walked through the house looking at the living room, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, 2 Masters with ensuite baths, and the other spacious four bedrooms and the 4 additional full baths and the 2 downstairs half baths. Prince showed them the room the treadmill would be moved to, which had a view of the pool and jacuzzi and the music room, pointing out where the piano would go. They saw the study and another room, which would be used as a study giving both couples one and an additional sitting area downstairs. They needed to add one desk, and they would be set. Finally, Prince showed them the theater where they and the children, when they came along, would watch all sorts of films together. It was perfect for them as a home away from home. As they grew older, they would spend the winters here, but for now, they would use it when they needed to be in LA for music and film work. Bella and Elaine were speechless. Finally, Bella asked in a whisper, how much did this cost? The answer had both women sputtering. It was $1.9 million, but they did not buy it outright. They would pay it off after the next Album, given that it too produced really well. But even if they had to keep it on a mortgage, their financial advisor assured them they could afford it. The girls were relieved and very excited! They were starting their marriages owning a home and a half each. They were thrilled. After they had completed their home tour, the 4 headed back to their current LA residence. Prince shared that since it was furnished, the girls only needed to be concerned with their clothing going to the new LA House. If they liked, they could pack up those things, and he would have security take them to the home and put them into the Master Suites they had selected, and that way, they could be hung right in the closets. They stopped off at a dress shop and bought 28 inexpensive plastic zipper hanging bags. The girls would put all of their clothing that was not going to Mexico with them into these bags tonight and tomorrow. Folded items would be boxed and labeled by name and room. They picked up some clothing boxes from a U-HAUL store. They would be taken to the house tomorrow morning. Security would take their things too. To get all of this done, they would not go to Mass tomorrow. But they would spend time in prayer, thanksgiving, and praise tomorrow morning.
They arrived back at their current LA home at 4:15 PM. Within minutes of them getting there, the doorbell rang, and their wedding outfits were dropped off. Prince and Carlos generously tipped the driver, and the girls took the wedding dresses to their rooms to try on one last time. Both of them fit perfectly. The men did the same with the same results. Bella and Elaine then put the precious outfits in hanging bags as they began to double-check all of the clothing they were taking for the wedding and honeymoon. When that was complete, they began the packing of the things to go to the Northridge House. They were done by midnight, with everything labeled and properly identified. They then checked all of their makeup and cosmetics. They would keep them in the bathrooms in their large and small cosmetic bags. The 4 had one of each size. They would need to use them in the morning and for the next, but it was the best way to ensure that they did not forget anything.
Sunday flew by, and after the household had prayed and praised together and had breakfast, Prince, Carlos, Frank, Melvin, and Larry had gone to the Northridge house and put everything into the proper rooms. Prince called the stylist who had done much of the styling on the house about linens. She told him that the linen cabinets were full of sheets, towels, and California weight blankets, so they did not need to be concerned. He checked anyway...and they were there; they were new and of outstanding quality. Bella and Elaine would be thrilled. Next, he called the maid service the house had always used to ensure the beds would be made, and the house dusted and polished and ready for them when they arrived at the end of July. Finally, Prince called Christian, who arranged for some of the Arista Security to be at the house for the next couple of months. Everything was covered now, and they headed back to the old LA house. Prince kissed Bella passionately Sunday night and headed back to the room he was sharing with Carlos. The girls went to Bella's room and chatted until almost 2:00 in the morning. Dreaming out loud and giggling, they finally slept and then got up at 7:00 and dressed. They made a light breakfast and would go to the airport at 10:00 or so. Their flight would leave at 11:00 AM, and they would arrive in Cancun at about 3 PM Cancun time. The plane would have picked up Prince and Carlos's parents and Bella's and Elaine's too. Prince's grandparents had flown into Chicago yesterday so that they would arrive with Royal and Savannah. There was great excitement in the air as they put all of their bags into the SUV. Ross was entrusted with the carryall with all of the gifts and the wedding rings in it. Prince checked his valise for his passport and the marriage license, made sure the girls had theirs, and got a kick out of Carlos checking that he had his and Elaine's marriage license at least 3 times. They closed the door to the lovely house they had called home for nearly two years for the last time. They walked to the aircar, got in, and took off for the airport. They never looked back!
Kendra and Linda's POV
Bella and Elaine were the last to get out of the Air SUV after it had landed at the VIP terminal. Kendra and Linda saw them first, and then Savannah and Nita did. All four women almost ran to the entry doors to greet their children. The day was upon them. In 6 days, their beautiful, special daughters and sons would marry. There were hugs all around, and then Prince and Bella went and hugged his grandparents and Carlos's sister Maria Elena who was sitting quietly near her parents. All were extremely excited. Kendra and Linda had the gift registers they had been keeping of the gifts that had been delivered at their homes. Each entry had a picture of the gift so that the brides could ooh and ahh over them. Prince would arrange for the gifts to be flown to Chicago as soon as they were back in the states. Once on the plane, the girls' moms gave them the registers to go through. They were thrilled. Almost everything they had registered for had been gifted to them already. The TSA agents announced that they were all screened and could board now. Prince and Carlos realized that they hadn't even thought about the instruments. Sid laughed and said that the instruments had been on the plane for a half-hour when they arrived. The other band members joined in the good-hearted laughter. Prince never forgot about anything to do with the music. He was excited! Prince and Carlos had to laugh themselves. Ray and Ross boarded first, and then The grandparents and parents of the four boarded. Next were the 4, then came the band, followed by the rest of the Security team. Everyone took their seats and got settled. Prince's phone rang, and he saw it was Christian. "This is Royal," he said. "Hey man, Christian said. The wife and I are already here, and I would love to invite you and the family and band for drinks and dinner when you get in if that is alright." Prince smiled and asked Christian to hold for a minute. He then asked all on board if they were open to the invitation. It was a unanimous yes. Prince told Christian, who said, "great"! He went on to say he had some exceptional Champagne put on board for the trip to Cancun. Closing the call with "enjoy," he disconnected to get all prepared for dinner this evening. Once drinks were served, Bella and Elaine broke the news about the LA house to their mothers. They squealed just like their daughters had when they found out. The mothers then had to tell the dads who were very happy for the young couples and congratulated them on an exhilarating accomplishment. Bella passed her phone pictures around to the grands, parents, and Maria Elena so that they could see the house. After they had eaten, and both Sid and Miguel had toasted the happy couples, the girls asked for blankets and went to sleep. They had stayed up so late; they really needed the rest. They slept soundly until they heard the preparation for landing command. They put their seatbacks up, made sure all of their things were properly stowed and were thrilled to be on the ground quickly. They were pleasantly surprised to see the limos and the Mercedes Benz shuttle to carry the band and instruments right there on the Tarmac as they deplaned. Bella checked her watch. It was 3:45 PM. Prince helped unload the instruments and put them into the shuttle bay once they had gotten the girls' things into their limo. Then they helped the grands and the parents and Maria Elena with their things. In no time at all, they were headed to the hotel. When they arrived, they noticed a very tasteful sign on the registration counter welcoming the Borden, Grady, Anderson, and Rodriguez family to Cancun. They were whisked to their rooms by the waiting bellman and the concierge to check them in once they were in their rooms. Prince went to Bella's room to card it and then to the room he would share with Carlos. When he got there, Carlos had already carded it, and they were checked in. They then started unpacking their clothes. This was harder than expected because the girls always did this task. They stumbled through it, making certain to put all of the things they would wear for the wedding into one hanging bag, including shoes, socks, cufflinks, and other jewelry they would wear that day. As they finished, each of their phones rang. It was the girls checking to see if they needed any help. The men said they thought they had it handled but would appreciate it if the girls would check their wedding apparel bags to ensure they had not missed anything. Bella and Elaine promised they would do so after breakfast in the morning. While the girls went to bathe or shower, Prince called Christian, who said they would be dining under the stars tonight on one of the patios on the hotel's ocean side. . Cocktails would begin at 7:00 PM; dinner would be at 8 PM. Prince called Bella and told her to be certain to wear a shawl as it might be cool. He would come to collect her at 7:00. She thanked him and went and ran a bath. Elaine had already bathed and cleaned the tub. The girls put on their lotion and decided on what they would wear. Bella would wear a very sassy yellow dress with a cut-out back and some gold strappy sandal heels.

When Prince and Carlos went to collect Bella and Elaine, they almost drooled at how gorgeous they looked. The girls also carried matching shawls, Bella's in gold, and Elaine's in silver. They were so proud to enter the lobby and walk through it to the patio, escorting their stunning women. Every male head turned to watch them as they walked the distance to the automatically opening doors. Prince and Carlos looked like Cheshire cats; they were smiling so hard. And so began the fairy tale week of the weddings of Bella and Prince and Elaine and Carlos.
Dinner was magnificent. The 4 had a crab dish, although there was also chicken, swordfish, and beef and scallions. The entire group had a conch chowder to begin. There were all kinds of veggies served as well from which they could select. The meal was finished with a dessert wine and a choice of lemon, chocolate, or fruit tarts. Several toasts were made with the Moet Champagne flowing freely. One of the most touching came from Christian himself, who said, "when I met these four young people, I honestly thought they were far too young to be considering marriage. Prince and Carlos were still so very young; I thought they should party and check out many women before settling down, particularly considering what they do for a living. I wish each of you great happiness throughout this lifetime and into the next...together. Bella and Elaine and their mothers and their soon to be mothers-in-law all had tears in their eyes. They would not have wanted to discuss it, but so did Prince and Carlos. After this final toast, the entire party found their way to the dance floor. There were so many activities ahead. There was the wedding shower for the girls on Wednesday. Then the bachelor/bachelorette parties on Thursday night and the rehearsal and the dinner following on Friday. It would be an unforgettable week culminating in the wedding of these 4 beautiful young people on Saturday. They would remain with them for final touches until just before the girls went down the aisle. The wedding was at 3:00 in the afternoon so that the stylists would be with them much of the day. Prince and Carlos would go to the beach with them today but would go to the airport to pick up Father O'Rourke and Pastor Williams first. Greg was flying them in today, and they had left at 6 AM this morning. They would land at 11:15. Since they were landing at lunchtime, the girls decided to go to the beach after lunch and invite both pastors to have lunch with the 4 of them and their parents. All of the parents and the grands were down for it, so; the girls set a reservation for 18. Bella called Prince when he was en route to the airport and told him about the reservation. To be safe, she had made it for 12:00. Prince and Carlos went in to greet the pastors accompanied by Ray and Ross. They walked into the private room with the 2 pastors in tow at 12:05 PM. After a wonderful lunch, the 4 asked the Ministers if they wanted to join them at the beach. Both men were delighted to do so. Their parents had other plans, but the Grands didn't, so they joined them in the sun for a couple of hours. They had fun talking and then swimming and then at about 3:30 went to nap before dinner. Bella and Elaine were tired from the sunfilled activity coming on the heels of a late-night of dancing. They decided to sleep until about 5:30 PM. They called their men and asked if an early dinner would be okay. The rest of the wedding party folks would arrive tomorrow, and then there was the wedding shower. They needed to rest tonight to be up for all of the activity tomorrow. Both men agreed. They were bushed too. Prince called a rehearsal for 3:00 PM tomorrow in the dance hall they had been in last night. They needed to clear out by 5:30, so they set up the instruments by 2:30 and begin playing as soon as they were set. They would use the time that their women were being feted in the wedding shower very well. The 4 showered, napped, and then went to an early dinner. The two Ministers had some things to attend to regarding the ceremony in the morning, so they got room service and turned in early. After dinner, Carlos and Prince went to the girls' room and got the girls' rings, the gifts for the groomsmen, their parents and in-laws, and the wedding gifts they had purchased for the girls to wear on their wedding day. They already had the wedding licenses. All of the items would go into the safe as soon as they got into their room.
It was the parents that were out partying that night. They went to one of the casinos and did not get back to the hotel until after 1:00 AM. They would sleep late the next day with no one hearing from them until after the noon hour. Bella and Elaine went to the airport to greet all of the rest of the wedding party. Melvin's fiance was with them too. Their little ring bearers and flower girls were so excited that Bella and Elaine could not help but smile at their exuberance. Torrey and Derek were on the flight, as were their Maids of honor. After lots of hugs and cheek kisses, they went to their rooms. Jax Jensen, his wife Andrea, and his band would fly in tomorrow, Thursday afternoon. They came back and got ready for the wedding shower held on the patio at 3:00 PM.

Prince and Carlos had seen that the instruments were set up for their rehearsal and then walked the girls to the terrace area where the shower was set up at 2:45 PM. Torrey and Maria Elena were there along with the mothers and Prince's Grand fussing over every little detail. Nita and Savannah were placing flowers on the tables. Prince kissed Bella on the cheek, while Carlos did the same to Elaine. "Have fun," the men said and went to the dance hall to rehearse. After all of the guests had arrived, the fun began. They played silly games for which there were prizes and made suggestions for the names of children who had yet to be conceived. They told stories about the wedding nights of those in attendance that were already married and then were served a wonderful light meal. Finally, they opened gifts. There was lingerie in a rainbow of colors-bras with matching panties, frilly sleepwear, interesting toys and lotions, and perfumes. The gifts, though, that would be personal favorites for both women came from Prince's grandmother. She had handmade exquisite covers for wedding books she gave them. There was room in each book to capture memories of a lifetime of anniversaries up to 60 years. She and Prince's grandfather were in their 49th year of marriage and were still going strong. She shared that she would pull out her wedding book and the wedding photo album on those days when he had upset her throughout her marriage. They helped her to remember why she had married her husband and never failed to calm her. She said to the girls, "even the best men do stupid things. Learn early to forgive and forget". Bella walked over to her and kissed and embraced her and thanked her for her wisdom. She was quickly followed by Elaine, who did the same. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon that mixed fun with wisdom and, in a way, lessons in womanhood. Bella and Elaine made sure to take lots of pictures. Both women would remember this day with joy for all of their days.
Kendra and Linda folded all of the girls' gifts and put them into hand made lingerie bags that Nita made. They would take them to their rooms later on today. The 4 mothers sat together, having another Pina Colada after the girls and their friends had headed back to their rooms. They talked together, sharing memories of their daughters and sons when they were children. While thrilled that their children had found wonderful mates, each of the mothers sat with a sense of nostalgia. They individually and collectively realized that their own lives were changing, and that change was being marked by the weddings that would take place in just two days. When the four said I do to their partners, they would become the most important person in the world to them. While well-loved, their mothers would never again be the center of the universe to any one of these young people. In reality, that had been true for some time, but this coming event made it even more clear. Their babies had grown up and soon would have babies of their own. They would find becoming grandmothers a wonderful blessing that would make the change in their children's lives more than bearable...but truly wondrous! But that was still in the future. Today, these mothers sat together knowing that nothing would be the same going forward, and while saddened a little, would also find great joy at the happiness of their children in the days and years ahead. They toasted one another and to a beautiful nuptial day for their children and eventually broke up to go in search of their husbands to learn how their day had been.

Jax and his band, along with Andrea, had arrived early the next morning. Jax had checked in with Prince, and the two men had agreed to meet for lunch to discuss the music. Prince intended to play a few songs at the beginning of the reception, but Jax would handle most of it. Carlos would, of course, also attend the meeting. Bella and Elaine slept in as the bachelor/bachelorette parties were tonight, and they would have a late night. When they got up, they called the women in the bridal party and invited any who wanted to join them in the Seaside Restaurant, where an all-day buffet was held for lunch. Andrea decided to join them, as did Maria Elena and Torrey. The rest were headed to or already at the beach. It was a fun afternoon.
Prince, Carlos, and Jax met went over the music, and Prince let him know what The World Changers would be playing. He intended to open their set with For You and then move directly into Just as Long as We're Together. They would then sing I'm Yours, followed by The Most Beautiful Girl In the World. Prince dedicated Adore to his baby. Next up was Diamonds and Pearls. Then there would be a dedication to Elaine by Carlos of When We're Dancing Close and Slow. Prince would then do a dedication of Extraordinary to Bella and would close the set with Scandalous. Since the girls would not perform, all harmony would be provided by The World Changers band members. They then went over the music that Jax was playing. Prince and Carlos were thrilled with his choices. He and Carlos walked Jax over to the ballroom where the reception would occur and showed him the area where he and his band could set up their instruments. The room was theirs for the entire day and night of the wedding, and so they could set up as early as they wished on Saturday morning or even the night before and sound check whenever they wanted to. The World Changers would have their last rehearsal on Friday afternoon before the rehearsal. Their instruments would be set up for that rehearsal and would remain in the ballroom until the morning after the wedding when the band would break them down and secure them in a storage area already arranged for in the hotel. He had arranged a similar storage unit for Jax's band that was already paid for. Jax and Andrea were staying for a week after the wedding and would leave a week from this Saturday. That was the same day that the 4 were leaving for Japan.
The last of the guests were arriving today. Their parents would be doing the meet and greet today for all that arrived.
