Sunny LA, Premiers Ahead
Prince's POV
Their flight had arrived right on time on Monday evening and the 4 had been really excited to return to the warmth of Los Angeles. Frank and Melvin had gone to pickup their SUV from VIP parking and they had waited outdoors for it to pull up next to the plane. The rest of the men had helped to get the instruments and luggage out of the luggage bay and to load it into the touring bus which had pulled up while they were unloading. Once the instruments were secured, the touring bus took the band members to Arista, where they would set them up in rehearsal hall 3 and then get into their individual vehicles that had been parked safely in the VIP Arista garage and head home, some to wives and families who lived with them in LA, others to the quiet solitude of their apartments and call Chicago to speak with their families. Still others would stop by girlfriends places for a much anticipated reunion. Carlos and Prince loaded their things into the SUV that Frank and Melvin had pulled up and headed to their LA home. Arista security had stayed in the home during their 3 month absence so they were certain that everything was fine. Frank, however, followed the full protocol as he pulled into the garage. They checked and found the alarm was not engaged so they were certain that the Arista guys were in the house, but they took no chances. Frank and Melvin entered the house and walked it greeting the Arista team and then returned to the garage with the all clear. Ross and Larry helped the four with their luggage and also brought in their own. They were back, but their lives had already changed although that was not yet as apparent as it would be in the next few weeks when they walked the Red Carpet for the Premiers in Detroit and Los Angeles. After that, nothing would ever be the same. But that was still up the road and only Prince was aware of just how different things would become . He would sit them down and share some of the things they needed to know and prepare them for the changes to come, but not tonight. Tonight they would enjoy being back in their own space, unpack and enjoy each other's company. Tomorrow he and Carlos would discuss the Premier schedules with Christian and afterwards, maybe over dinner, they would talk about life after the premier of Another Chance. Bella went into the kitchen and was happy to see that Christians's team had stocked the refrigerator and cabinets with the items she and Elaine had put on the list before they left. She poured 4 glasses of lemonade and then asked over the intercom if the security team would also like some. The Arista team had a big pitcher full in the refrigerator, just as they had requested. A resounding yes came back in seconds. She poured 4 more glasses and left them on the sideboard. The Arista team however said thank you but no...they wanted to head back to their own lives. Carlos, Elaine and Prince came into the kitchen and got theirs. "Prince, I am going to unpack", Bella said. "Let me help, and then we can relax for the evening" Prince responded. The two of them headed to their bedroom and Carlos and Elaine did the same. It was 3:30 PM and they would be finished with the job with both of them doing it in an hour. They unpacked, hanging what needed to be hung, putting the folded things in drawers and Bella took the few dirty items that were in need of washing to the laundry room and started a load. Returning to the bedroom she bundled the items that needed to be cleaned and Prince said that he would take them to the cleaners in the next day or so. With that out of the way, Prince went into the den and sorted the huge piles of mail into his, Carlos, Bella and Elaine piles. The good news was there were no bills as they had converted them to on-line accounts before they left for Michigan and had paid them as they came in. He would let each of them go through their own mail and determine what was junk. He, however, threw out all of the junk mail addressed to him right then. He looked at the remaining mail that was his and determined he would open it the next day. With this task as complete as it was going to get today, he joined Bella in the family room. Elaine had joined her, Carlos was on the phone with his dad in the bedroom. They turned on Cloud Stream and caught a story that surprised them.
"This is Andrea Williams Jenson, Entertainment reporter for The New York Times. I have it on confirmed authority that the Royal Prince, his drummer Carlos Garcia along with their future brides, Bella Borden and Elaine Grady and their very talented band members, The World Changers have finished filming their first movie and have headed back to California. The film is called Another Chance, and is a visual depiction of the best selling book of the same name that was written by Prince's bride to be, Arabella Borden. The screenplay had been written by Elaine Grady, who is engaged to Carlos Garcia, the World Changers drummer and the music for the film was from the Royal and the World Changers Album that included music written by or with Carlos Garcia. While we have known for sometime that Royal and his World Changers were immensely talented, who knew that their women were equal powerhouses. There is no release date information as of yet, but it is believed that it will be released in time for Christmas viewers as that will make it eligible for entrance into the Oscar Competition. The Album and several of its singles has already won several Grammy nominations. We will be watching the developments on this film closely and will keep you, our public, informed. Carlos had come into the family room as Andrea began her report as had their security team. You could have heard a pin drop after the report was finished. Finally Bella said, "well that was a surprise". "It sure was" Prince said. The others nodded their agreement. Prince pulled his phone out of his pocket and dialed Andrea's number. The phone went to voicemail on the first ring. "She is probably still on the air", Prince said aloud to no-one in particular. He left a message for her asking her to call him when she got his message. "Prince, that was a really nice story about all of you", Frank said. "It sure was", Prince replied. They chatted for a few minutes about the story but then another came onto the screen that got their attention.
Wally Crawford here reporting from WWKH in Detroit, Michigan. Tomorrow is the opening day of the State of Michigan vs. Nicholas Galbretti Sr. and Nicholas Galbretti Jr. trial. Both defendants are expected to be called to testify during the first day as they have already entered pleas of guilt. Both the Prosecution and the Defense teams will be heard tomorrow as well. While this first day is expected to be the shortest part of the trial, it is critical to both sides. Just how well the arguments are presented will set up the potential outcome of the sentencing phase. Ray Burgess Jr. continues to do well making progress, albeit slow, daily in his journey to recovery. His father Ray Sr. and his wife Jeannette, are now back at their home, but Ray will bring his wife daily to see her oldest son. Ray, however, will come twice a day I am informed. The Simpsons have provided the Galbretti lawyers with the list of their medical expenses, and checks have been written as promised. All that remains is to find out what will happen to the 2 Galbretti men. WWKH will be at the courthouse until the sentence is announced and will keep you informed of the daily events as they occur. Before any of them could react to what they just heard, the phone rang. Prince looked at the screen and saw that it was Andrea calling. "This is Royal" he said as he answered. Hi Royal, this is Andrea. I gather you saw the piece". "We sure did", Prince said, putting the call on speaker so all could hear. "It was very complimentary. Thank you!" "Well, it was all true", Andrea said laughing quietly. "How did you know we had wrapped" Prince asked? "I have my sources", she said laughing again. "Seriously, I had called you earlier today but your phone went straight to voicemail so I called Andy who told me you were on your way back to LA. I have to be in Detroit tomorrow for the Galbretti trial and Jax is coming with me. I was going to see if you, Bella and Carlos and Elaine wanted to get together". "Hi there Andrea; this is Bella. I wish we had known...we might have been able to change our return time". "Hey Bella and everyone", Andrea said in greeting. " I didn't know I was coming myself until early this morning when my editor said he wanted me to stay on the story". "Well we will have to make a point of getting together soon", Elaine said. Carlos added, "we sure will, especially since Jax has so kindly agreed to play at our wedding". Prince also added, "we really appreciate that, as it will allow us to truly enjoy the day without the pressure of being the main performers". "Yes he told me that he and the Dead Crows would be playing. He was really very honored and humbled that you would ask them to for such a momentous occasion". "Andrea, they are really good musicians and we are the ones that are honored", Prince stated. "Well, I know you are just getting home, so I am going to let you go. Bella and Elaine, let's talk soon okay"? "That is a promise", Bella said. " Goodnight" Prince said disconnecting the call. They chatted a little about Andrea's call before the subject shifted to the Galbretti trial. " Well it looks like the outcome of the trial for the Galbretti's will be known really soon", Ross said. "Yes I think that it will", Prince replied. He silently threw up a prayer to the Creator, 'please be merciful Father'. Hearing his thoughts, Bella silently said' Amen'. The 4 and their security team chatted some more with Prince telling them about the mail. Carlos shared he would check his tonight before bed, but both of their women said tomorrow would be soon enough. At about 9:00 PM which was midnight Detroit time, the group broke up and went to their bedrooms for some much needed rest. "We did great work in the last few months", Prince said. "Thank you for everything you contributed and that includes each of you, Frank, Larry, Melvin and Ross. None of this would have happened without everyone in this room giving their best". There was the expected fist bumping and you're welcomes and then they each headed to their rooms. Prince, closed their bedroom door behind them and then turned Bella around to him and kissed her for all he was worth. "I have been wanting to do that every since we got on the plane to come home". She smiled and for some reason blushed. He smiled too, but said nothing more, and just went into the bathroom and started the shower. Bella undressed and hung up her clothes and went into the bathroom and joined him. They showered in comfortable silence and then moisturized each other and put on their bedclothes. After brushing their teeth and Bella platting her hair into one long braid. They climbed into bed. Prince snuggled with his Bella eventually getting into their favored spoon position. Bella's POV
Bella turned over in her sleep, and was facing her sweet Prince. He had waken up some 15 minutes before and was delighted to see her lovely face, eyes still closed. Their faces were so close together that their noses were almost touching. It was going to be 65 degrees today so Bella put on black winter weight leggings and a purple, black and gold top. Prince put on black skinny pants and a black and gold shirt. Bella had on black modified ballet slippers and Prince had on some black wedged tennis shoes. They went into the kitchen and Ross was sitting at the table with batter already made for pancakes. As soon as Bella and Prince walked in, he said his good mornings and began cooking them. Bella got a butter knife out and began to butter them as fast as he could make them. Elaine and Carlos came into the kitchen and Elaine set the table as Carlos poured and dressed their coffee. She put a plate at each of the table settings as the security team began to wander in. Once all were in the kitchen and all of the buttered pancakes were under the warming light, they all sat down, held hands and Prince offered the blessing. They dug into their fruit and when they had finished, Ross put the platter of golden buttered pancakes on the table. They ate the rest of their delicious meal with either fruit or warm maple syrup and then, Melvin and Larry took clean up duty. The others went to their rooms to make up beds and generally straighten up their rooms. Within the hour all of them were in the family room. Prince said that this was as good a time as any to call Christian about the Premiers. He dialed him and Christian picked up his cell on the second ring. "Good morning Royal" he said. "Good morning Christian. I have Carlos and the girls and our security team with me". "Great", said Christian. "So what are your thoughts on the Premiers", Prince asked? "Well I would like to see them occur the first week of December. That will get the film into the movie houses the first weekend of the month. That gives us four weekends before year end to get people to the movie theaters. They will be able to see it well beyond then if it sells, but that time frame will allow us some time to get the votes needed for the Oscar nominations". Prince listened closely and asked if the edits would be done by then. "Yes. I have told my team to make Tuesday, November 28th deadline even if they have to work 24 hours around the clock. They will get it done and it will be an excellent job. Anthony will see the updates daily to make certain that only superior work is being done". "When will we be able to see where we are", Prince asked? "What about the Tuesday before Thanksgiving" Christian responded? I think that is the 21st. "We will see how far we get but we should be almost done with the basic edits and should be polishing from then until the 28th. "Great" Prince said! "We are flying to Detroit on the 22nd so that should work out fine". " Let's plan to see them in one of our rush rooms at say 6:00 PM on the 21st"? "That'll work", Prince said. "Now are we agreed on the venue"? "Yes, Fox Theater in Detroit and Mann's Chinese Theater here in LA", Christian replied. "Dates", Prince asked? "Saturday December 2nd at the Fox and Saturday December 9th in LA", Christian answered. "How many theaters will we book for opening weekend"? "I thought we would start with 1000 nationwide", Christian answered. "That's what we want", Prince said. "Okay, let me get my assistant to firm up those dates and I will call you right back. We will have a 6:00 PM showing, with the Red Carpet walk beginning at 3:00 PM with finger foods and cocktails beginning at 3:00 PM also". Sounds great Prince said. Christian disconnected the call. While they waited to hear that the dates were definitely locked, the girls went through their mail and Prince read Billboard on his laptop. His songs were still dominating the charts. He smiled as he realized that. Prince's cell phone rang. The girls heard it in the study and quickly came to the family room. Security did too. "This is Royal". Christian said, "we got lucky. Both dates were available and we are booked. We will have 6:00 PM showings and the Red Carpet walk will start at 3:00 PM with finger foods and cocktails starting at 3:00 also and running to 5:45. There will be more open bar after the film until about 8:30 PM. That will give you and the band time to get to the Stork Club in Detroit and to our Event room here in the Arista building in LA to play for the after parties. We have the 1000 theaters booked also". 'Thank you Lord', Prince thought. Hearing him, Bella thought, "thank you Lord indeed'. Prince smiled at her. "That sounds great", Prince said. "Okay, I am off to a meeting with our editing staff and Anthony. I will talk to you later this week", Christian said. "Thank you Christian". "Glad to make it happen. Say hi to everyone for me", Christian added and then hung up the call. The girls jumped up and started squealing! "Oh, what ever will we wear", Bella asked? "We will find you something incredible" Prince said. "Both of you". Carlos added. "But with this for all intents and purposes handled", Prince said, we need to pick out colors for the rooms in our homes and get the furnishings and carpets and rugs ordered. Our parents will help, but we need to make these decisions quickly so that we can give them direction and be ready to start right after we close on the homes. Carlos and I are going to ask for the closing to be no later than March...maybe February if they can swing it". Okay the soon to be brides said in unison. "But we will look for dresses this weekend okay", Elaine asked? Prince and Carlos looked at each other and Carlos said "yes that will be fine". Prince nodded his agreement. "Okay pull out those pictures you have of the houses and let's talk. We will probably need to hire an interior designer to pull this off long distance", Prince said. Bella said" mom knows a couple of good ones"..."yes my mom does too", Elaine said. The ladies went to get the pictures and they dove right in with discussions of what they wanted to do. Prince did some sketches as they chatted, including the breezeway between the homes and the community pool and playground for the children. They would paint and furnish first, and then begin the work on the outside. They had a lot to get done but it would be a lot of fun in the doing. After a while, Bella said she and Elaine would fix lunch and dinner. It was definitely time to show their men how much they appreciated them and to also give their very good friend Ross a break. By Friday night, they would have picked out most of the interior colors and furnishings. Saturday would be dedicated to finding dresses worthy of the Red Carpet walk for their own film. Neither of the two ladies stopped smiling, even for a minute, for a whole week! Prince and Carlos couldn't help it. It felt great making their women happy...they also got a whole lot of sho nuff sexual healing while they were doing it...a minimum of twice a day and sometimes more!
