I was at Court as Tasha's guardian. She was visiting Christian and Lissa for Christian's birthday. I was wondering if I would see Rose. All I had heard about her was that she had graduated to be Lissa's guardian and had taken her father's name of Mazur. She was always in my heart and mind. I missed her but was scared what her reaction would be if we ran into each other. I had left her after swearing to find a way to make it work. I owed her my life for protecting me in the caves. I left because she needed to have a clear mind to graduate, though I was unsure if she found it because she hadn't graduated with marks nearly as high as she should have.
We were at Lissa's for lunch and there was no sign of Rose. There were photos everywhere of Lissa, Christian and Rose (individuals and mixes). There was a number of baby photos around. And by baby I mean newborn through to about three months old. The majority of which had a beaming, tender-looking, Rose holding, and staring at, the baby. There were also photos of Lissa and Christian with the baby. Also photos of the baby on its own were all around.
"Isn't she adorable?" Lissa interrupted my scan of the pictures.
"Pardon?"
"Anya." She gestured to the baby photos.
"Anya?" Why a Russian name? And whose was she? And where was Rose?
"My daughter comrade."
"What?"
"Anya Roza Mazur, my daughter."
"Roza?" Not sure if I was asking her about her daughters name or slipping and using the nickname to ask 'what the hell?'.
"Follow me." What? What was she doing? I followed out of curiosity. She led me upstairs to the nursery. "Shh. I just got her to sleep." I entered silently and looked into the cot.
What I saw was an adorable three month old baby girl that was the spitting image of a mini Rose. With hints of me in there. How had that happened? Before I knew it I had wrapped myself around Rose and kissed her cheek. "She's perfect."
She leaned into me. "Not really, she's a terror when hungry but an angel all other times."
"So? She's a three month old and has your love of food. She's as perfect as her mother." I kissed both of her cheeks before resting my chin on her head.
"Her mother isn't perfect."
"Neither is her father" I whispered knowingly in her ear. She froze then spun in my arms and crashed her lips to mine.
"God I love you Roza. I'm sorry. So, so sorry."
"Shut up comrade!" She whisper yelled and pulled me to her room.
I locked her door after I pressed her up against it. The kissing resumed and heated up. The layers were practically ripping themselves off and when we were down to our underwear I picked her up and threw us on the bed without breaking the kiss. Our remaining clothing came off and we were back in the cabin. She was the only one for me. I was made for her and it was insane to pretend otherwise.
"I love you Roza. Really."
"I love you too Dimitri."
A knock sounded on the door and we groaned.
"Go away!" Rose yelled. Though not loud enough to wake a sleeping Anya. "Liss! Can I get some privacy!" That bond was always a confusing thing. "Ugh. Fine. Coming." She got up and threw on my top and her undies and goddamn was she sexy. I growled and she smirked.
"See something you like comrade?"
"Too much Roza."
Did she have to go back to that night in the lounge! She opened the door and rushed back to join me in bed.
"Really? Really? Rose, he's been back like fifteen minutes." I'm right here Lissa.
"Perfect love life Princess Lissa can't say a thing! You didn't notice until Anya was on her way."
"But seriously Rose..." It must have been continued through the bond.
"Liss. I never hated him. I can't hate him- it's impossible."
"Girls I'm right here you know." I decided to interrupt.
"Sorry comrade." Rose kissed my cheek.
"Ugh. Get dressed you two- lunch will be ready in twenty minutes." Liss turned and walked out the door- shutting it behind her.
"Comrade?" I saw the twinkle and hunger in Rose's eyes. I removed the offensive materials separating our bodies. I didn't know where I ended and she began.
Lissa made an appearance again just moments after Rose and I had finished round two. "I thought I told you two to get dressed not undressed again!" She was exasperated but the amusement was loud and clear. "Lunch is served so you might want to get dressed- fully."
"Lissa- get out!" Rose threw a pillow at her friend and charge.
"I'm waiting in the bathroom while you get dressed. You're not skipping Christian's lunch." Lissa said as she entered the ensuite and shut the door. We hastily dressed.
"Liss it's safe to come out." Rose called and her friend led us to lunch. I kept Rose in my arms.
"Liss? What happened to the parental's?" Christian asked.
"They got R rated- twice."
"Seriously Rosie?!"
"Cool it fire crotch. Don't act all surprised- I'm a mom remember."
"Ugh. I still haven't gotten my head around that."
"You can speak Christian- you're not in my spot" I chipped in.
"No. Thank god."
Anya started crying. "I'll get her." I left and the second I picked her up she quieted. I brought her downstairs.
"I knew you'd have a special touch as a dad." Her face was radiant-pride, joy and love clearly evident and whole lot more. "You want to keep her through lunch?"
"Can I?" I couldn't resist the smile the that spread across my face. My heart was fluttering, I was being offered bonding time with my daughter.
"Duh! She's half you remember!" She laughed and kissed my cheek then Anya's forehead and stroked a finger up and down the tiny creature's forearm.
