Blake's POV
My eye lids began to grow heavy as I kept at my research. The White Fang base needed to be located and I couldn't rest until I found out where it was. My hands were full of books as I walked out of the library and down the halls. When I got to my dorm I opened it and placed the books on the desk.
Yang: "Hey Blake." She said as I kept researching.
Blake: "Um." I grunted as I kept on reading. I needed to find it.
Ruby: "Blake?" She asked me.
Blake: "Um." I grunted in aggervation while I flipped the page.
Weiss: "Blake!" She said.
Blake: "Um." I just ignored her as I continued. I know it's here somewhere.
(Y/N): "BLAKE!!" He shouted which caused me to jump in the chair.
Blake: "What!?!?" I yelled at all of them in anger.
Yang: "You need to calm down." She said to me.
Blake: "Calm down with what?" I asked her.
Ruby: "With your research." She told me. I couldn't believe what they were saying.
Blake: "What?" I asked her.
Weiss: "You're pushing yourself way to hard Blake." She told me as I just shook my head and returned to the books.
Blake: "I'm fine." I said before I felt a hand on my shoulder. I pushed it away only for that hand to turn me around. I was face to face with (Y/N).
(Y/N): "You haven't been getting any sleep Blake!! You've been working yourself to death ever since our mission!! You know how much I hate to see you like this!!" He told me as I just lightly pushed him away and turned towards the books again.
Blake: "Out of all the people in this room I thought my boyfriend would at least understand me. I guess I was wrong." I said aloud. I heard sharp inhales and a gasp from Yang, Ruby, and Weiss. The door opened and closed loudly as I just sighed.
Yang: "Why would you even say that Blake?!?" She told me as I scanned another page.
Blake: "He'll get over it. He fully understands what I'm doing." I told them as I just kept reading the information. Time seemed to fly as the light faded from the room. I turned on the lamp at the desk as everyone else went to sleep. I couldn't stop. I'm the only one who can do this.
Timeskip - 16 Hours
(Y/N)'s POV
My eyes opened slowly as I awoke from my slumber. My joints popped as I sat up and stretched. The muscles in my limbs unstiffened as I walked to the restroom. The water began to run in the shower as I slowly took off my clothes. Once the water was warm enough I jumped in and let the water relax me. My mind began to drift as the water poured on my head.
Ever since our mission Blake has been obsessed with tracking down the White Fang. Her team is trying everything they can to try and get her to rest, but it usually ends in failure. She won't even listen to me even though I'm her boyfriend. Her mind is so transfixed on the White Fang that she dosent even notice me half the time. We haven't gone on dates, held each other's hands, and I can't even remember the last time I held her against my body.
I let a sigh escape my lips as I turned the water off and stepped out. Once I dried myself off I walked out of the bathroom and went to my dresser drawer. I decided to wear a (f/c) t-shirt and some cargo shorts. My mind still wondered as I left my dorm. I kept walking until I accidentally bumped into someone.
???: "Ahh!!" Screamed a female voice as we both hit the ground with a thud.
(Y/N): "Sorry!!" I said as I sat up and looked at the person. The first thing I noticed was a pair of bunny ears and I knew exactly who it was. "I'm sorry Velvet!!" I said getting up. I extended my hand and she took it.
Velvet: "It's alright (Y/N). Accidents happen." She smiled as I pulled her up.
(Y/N): "Yeah they do." I sighed as she looked at me slightly worried.
Velvet: "Something wrong (Y/N)?" She asked me.
(Y/N): "That easy to tell huh?" I asked as we walked down the hall together.
Velvet: "Well you're usually happy and energetic and right now I don't seen any of that." She told me.
(Y/N): "Yeah, it's just been rough ever since we came back from our mission." I told her.
Velvet: "What seems to be the problem?" She asked.
(Y/N): "It's Blake." I responded.
Velvet: "Did you two have a fight?" She asked me.
(Y/N): "No-yes-maybe, I don't know." I said while letting out another sigh. "She's just been so obsessed with the White Fang ever since we got back that we never spend any time together. She just stays up late into the night and does research. It's like I'm invisible to her now." I told her as Velvet just shook her head.
Velvet: "You know Blake loves you (Y/N). She always has and always will." She told me as I sighed once more before stopping and looking out the window.
(Y/N): "Even so it still doesn't make me feel happier. I want to be next to her. I want to feel her body against mine. I want to hold her in my arms and never let go. I just want her." I told Velvet. I felt her arms wrap around me as I slowly wrapped mine around her.
Velvet: "I may not be Blake, but if you ever need a hug or someone to talk to you know I'm here for you (Y/N)." She told me as I smiled and let her go.
(Y/N): "Yeah, I know Vel." I said as she smiled at me. We continued to walk and talk.
Blake's POV
I kept walking the halls while reading a book. I still needed to find more information. Talking echoed from down the hall as I drew closer to it. It drew my attention which caused me to look up. My eyes grew wide at who I saw. (Y/N) and Velvet were talking to each other. I decided to tail them as they talk. My mind kept running as I watched them from around the corner.
I didn't care what they were talking about. I was more concerned as to why they were together. I know I haven't been a good girlfriend lately, but I know (Y/N) would never cheat on me. He wouldn't....right?
They stopped at Velvet's door and talked. Velvet wrapped her arms around his body and gave him a hug. He gave her a quick hug and she let go. Once she was in her room he left for his dorm. My mind raced as I continued to process what just happened.
That wasn't anything right?!? This is Velvet we're talking about. She's just a very friendly person and to shy to steal someone's boyfriend. It was just a friendly hug. Yeah, that's all that was. It was nothing more than a hug, but why do I feel so horrible? I just shook the feeling away and walked back to my dorm. I still have my doubts so I'm gonna have to make sure.
Timeskip - 5 Days
(Y/N)'s POV
Time seems to just keep moving faster and faster with each day and that just means more days I haven't felt Blake's touch. She's just keeps distancing herself from everyone. Everytime I would try and talk to her she would just outright ignore me.
Although I miss her, Velvet has been helping me cope. Her talks and her touch have been keeping me intact. I think about it sometimes ya know. Should I just break it off with Blake and be with Velvet?
Everytime that thought crosses my head I mentally punch myself. I never want to leave Blake's side, but it's becoming harder and harder with each passing day. I just sat on Velvet's bed as I look out through the window.
Velvet: "So what was this favor you wanted to ask (Y/N)?" She asked me.
(Y/N): "When I ask this I'm asking you as a friend okay. I've been having trouble sleeping and I don't know any other way to fall asleep easily." I told her. "Can I cuddle with you tonight?" I asked her as her face grew crimson.
Velvet: "But what about Blake?!?" She asked me slightly worried.
(Y/N): "That's the thing Velvet. Ever since that mission I haven't been able to hold Blake at all. She haven't even given me a hug. I didn't notice it at first, but I needed that contact and now that I can't have it I'm going insane. So please I'm asking you Velvet. Please." I told her as she just sighed and smiled.
Velvet: "Fine, but only since you're my friend (Y/N)." She said as she got into her bed. We lied down as she placed her back against my body. I placed my hand on her stomach as I began to spoon her.
(Y/N): "Thank you Velvet." I told her as we slowly began to drift off to sleep. My body finally began to relax as my mind began to fill with images of Blake. Her smile. Her laugh. Everything that was her.
Timeskip - Morning
Blake's POV
I heard some rumors and I rushed towards Velvet's dorm. I banged on the door and got an answer. The door opened to reveal Velvet.
Velvet: "Can I help you Blake?" She asked me as I narrowed my eyes.
(Y/N): "Who's at the door Vel....vet?" He said before coming face to face with me at the door. My eyes began to twitch as my anger grew.
Blake: "You bastard!!" I yelled as I charged passed Velvet and tackled (Y/N) to the ground. My fist began to punch his chest as I felt tears slowly roll down my cheeks. "I know I h-haven't been the b-best girlfriend, but why would you *sniff* cheat on me?!?" He flipped me over and pinned my arms to the ground while staring at me. I tried to struggle, but couldn't due to my now depleted energy.
(Y/N): "I didn't cheat on you!!" He told me.
Blake: "Then why are you here you fucking lair!!" I yelled at him.
(Y/N): "I can explain everything if you just give me the chance you idiot!!" He yelled as I finally stopped struggling, but still felt my tears flow like a river.
Blake: "Fine." I said as he let me go. I sat up and waited.
(Y/N): "I was here because of you." He told me which shocked me.
Blake: "What?!?" I asked.
(Y/N): "Ever since we got back from that stupid mission you've done nothing but look for information about the White Fang. You haven't been sleeping properly, you won't listen to your teammates, and to top it all of you won't even spend time with me. Do you know how long it's been since the last time I held you? Since the last time I cradled you in my arms while we slept? Since the last time I felt your lips against mine?" He said as tears began to stream down his face. "I needed your touch. I craved your touch Blake and you wouldn't even give me the time of day. Velvet was there for me as a great friend. She talked to me when I was worried about you, she hugged me when I needed someone, and the reason why I am here is because I asked her to cuddle with me since I can't sleep easily unless I cuddle you. Velvet helped me out, because she was my friend not my lover."
Blake: "I-I-I" I tried to say something, but the words were caught in my throat. He was right after all. What type of girlfriend was I? "I-I've b-been s-such a h-horrible g-girlfriend." I said through my sobs as he embraced me in a hug. My arms wrapped around him as we just stayed there.
(Y/N): "You're not that at all Blake. You've been the best thing to ever happen to me. Just please stop with this investigation and if you can't then at least slow down. I miss you so much." He told me.
Blake: "I promise I will (Y/N)." I told him as we just stayed there. I've missed his touch.
