This chapter will majorly change the story line because Sweat Pea and A.J. will be going with them to the house. If you don't like that you have been warned
I woke up and shot out of my bed to check and see if Archie ever replied. But all I found was a text from him saying that he was kidding. I highly doubt that. I took a shower and got ready.
Without the green purse thingie
I walked to our small living room to tell Jughead I could walk by myself. But he wasn't there. I stepped out the creaky door into the chilly air comforted by the warmth of my clothes. I put in my ear buds and started to walk to school when I heard a loud motor over my music. I turned my head to find the beanie wearing boy on our bike and I laughed. "I was starting to think you were getting the idea that the bike was yours," I commented jokingly. "It isn't?" he asked playfully when I hopped on the back. "Not today beanie boy," I wrapped my arms around his waist and we drove off. I walked to the front door searching for Sweat Pea but I couldn't find him. I was still looking until I felt strong arms wrapped around my waist and I smelled the same cologne that had become comforting. "Who you looking for princess?" I giggled as he picked me up and put me on his shoulders as he started to run. He carried me all the way to the student lounge where we found the core four talking seriously. "Oh sorry. We can leave," I said slowly pushing Sweat Pea back towards the entrance. "No no no, A.J. we must invite you and Sweat Pea," I looked down at his forehead. "To where?" He asked when I patted his shoulder blade implying I wanted down. He let me down and Veronica finished explaining where. "As long as Sweat Pea is ok with it I'm down to go on a luxury weekend," he nodded smiling when Cheryl walked in. "Luxury and weekend. My two favorite words. So where are we going and how extravagant of wardrobe should I pack?" "I'm sorry Cheryl it's kind of a couples only thing," Veronica replied sympethically. "Oh ok. Well have fun with your romancing," I felt bad and texted her sorry hoping she would be ok. With that the day was over I was distracted by the thought of Veronica's dad wanting me and Sweat pea in his vacation house. I went home with Jughead to pack and we went to pick up Betty after school. She ran upstairs going to what I'm assuming was her room. "Just a minute guys," I turned around and there was Chic. "Hey A.J.," I smiled when he looked at Jughead and back at me suspiciously. "You know what happened here?" I assumed he was talking about the dead guy. "Don't worry we're people you can trust," he looked at Jughead with no emotion. "If you tell anyone it would ruin Betty and Alice," I started to feel a pit growing in my stomach when Betty ran down the stairs. "Hey Chic," she handed Jughead her bags and I grabbed one. "Come on Sweat Pea is waiting for us," I smiled at Chic and we left. It took us a while driving there and I sat in between Archie and Sweat Pea because Veronica sat next to Andre in the front. It was starting to get awkward so I put in my ear buds. I never turned on music but no one talked to me so I stared out window. When I got there I waited for Sweat Pea to get out so I could. "I'll help you with your bags," Andre said. "No we got it," Veronica said pointing at Archie to get it. I went to the back to help him and Sweat Pea followed right behind me. We grabbed the bags and walked in with awe. "Wow this is luxurious," I mumbled to myself before I looked up at Jughead when his phone rang. I watched him as he walked out with his phone touching his ear. Betty walked out and I followed right behind with everyone else. "Hey Jug what's going on?" I asked when he looked back at Betty angrily. "That was Cheryl. Telling me about Betty and Archie kissing in front of her house. I gasped. Betty walked in after Jughead and they went to their room. Then Archie and Veronica disappeared to theirs. I got bored as me and Sweat Pea sat in the living room watching t.v.. I walked to our room dragging my old suitcase behind me up the stairs. The bag flipped again and I tried helplessly to pull it up the stairs until the raven haired boy picked it up and carried it for me. "Thanks," he smiled at me and carried it the rest of the way. I grabbed it from him when we got to the top of the stairs. I walked in and gasped "This is amazing". I felt Sweat Pea pick me up. "What's wrong princess?" I sighed. "It's nothing," he picked me sat me down in the chair next to the beautiful dresser. "Tell me what's wrong," I looked back at him through the mirror. "It's just weird I feel like and outsider . And I know you feel the same way," he nodded and his smirk slowly grew back. "You know how you can make it up to me?" I shrugged "Huh," he pulled out a dvd making me giggle. It was a movie called the heat. "You and your movies," he chuckled softly.
Time skip
I walked out of my room and fell over. Betty ran over "are you okay," I laughed awkwardly "Um I think I just tripped on air." She laughed softly and I followed her down the stairs. "Hey guys," Betty said. We were greeted by the chorus of three awkward heys and hi's. "It's alright. We're good,"the three nodded and we sat down on the white couches in the living room. Jughead started to question Veronica when Betty stopped him. "So tell me about your fancy neighbors V," "Yeah are they in the same business as your dad. And on the drive here I noticed none of them have mailboxes or numbers," I sighed knowing where this was going. "Yeah shadow lakes is a pretty private neighborhood," "Like their trying to hide something," "Jughead," Betty gasped. "Guys what's going on? Archie asked. Veronica leaned over to Archie and started whispering. She looked back. "I can see what this is about. You guys aren't really ok with the kiss," the chorus of no's made it obvious they didn't but Veronica didn't care. "But I have the solution. Step 1 clothes of swimsuits on," I looked back at Sweat Pea smirking at me. "I'm down with that," I said and tried to walk up the stairs. Key word tried. I swear that step wasn't there a minute there and I fell. "Jeez A.J. you okay," Veronica asked. "Yeah princess is just a little clumsy," Sweat Pea replied while picking me up bridal style making me giggle. I looked up at Veronica and Betty and watched as their eyes went jealous probably wishing Jughead and Archie would do that. I laughed as I watched my brother get angry. Over protective much. Sweat Pea carried me into the room and threw me on the bed and looked at me. "We didn't finish the movie," I complained making him chuckle and search my drawer and then threw me a swimsuit. "Thanks," he nodded and grabbed one for himself and went to the restroom. I waited impatiently for him to come out.
I looked down at my swimsuit and realized he set it up so we would match. "Really?" "What?" He asked by answering my question with a question. "Matching swimsuits. B and V are already jealous of me for you carrying me to our room and now matching bathing suits," I said angrily. "Hey, don't worry about it," he wrapped me in a hug calming me down. I went to change in the restroom and walked out and Sweat Pea smirked at me causing me to laugh.
I smirked at him and strutted out of the door of our room. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. "Maybe I want them to be jealous," he whispered in my ear and then threw me in his arms bridal style again. He walked out and Veronica laughed. "Either your really light. Or you my friend are very clumsy," I laughed and tried to jump out of his hold. When he threw me in the hot tub. I came out and pulled on his leg causing him to fall in and everyone else to laugh. By then we were settled. All the couples together in their own area. "Okay. When I heard about the kiss I took it in absorbed and came to the conclusion that Jughead and I should kiss," Veronica stated. "V are you crazy?" I asked. "Now hold on a second," Jughead said standing up straighter and walking towards Veronica. "Jughead no," Archie demanded. "It's just a stupid kiss Archie," I stated in my brothers defense. "Then maybe Betty and Sweat Pea should kiss," he replied. "Hell no. I don't care what happens with the core four but this is my man only," I said Sweat Pea looked down at me and grinned. "Look Archie just think about it like this. Though I bare no anger toward Betty right now I am human. And what if a future me tries to use it against a future Betty. A present Vughead kiss could keep future Bughead from imploding," he smirked at Veronica. "Look think about it like this. What's the sports term for it?" He asked looking at me while smiling. "Leveling the playing fields," I replied and he nodded. Veronica stood up and walked over to Jughead. "It's alright Jughead. Just trust me," she said before pulling him into what seemed like a too passionate kiss. Sweat Pea looked at me confused and I laughed. "Now during that kiss I realized that Archie and A.J. should kiss," he looked at me and I looked at Sweat Pea and watched his jaw clench and his eyes cloud over in anger. "No," Sweat Pea growled glaring at Veronica. I grabbed his hand and rubbed my thumb over his knuckles. "It's alright Sweat Pea I was only kidding," she replied worriedly. His expression softened but I could tell he was still a bit angry from when I told him about when me and Archie kissed but I didn't worry about it. With that whole terrible situation being over I decided to take a big gulp of the non alcoholic jalapeno margarita Veronica made us. "These are great margaritas," I grinned at Veronica trying to ease the awkward situation. She smiled back though "Thank you A.J.". "Well as much fun as that was I'm beat. I think I'm gonna head to sleep," I said. "Me too," Sweat Pea replied. I looked up at him and he winked at me causing me to chuckle. "Alright goodnight guys," the choruses of good nights are the last thing I heard before being pulled me up the stairs. "Are we gonna finish our movie," I questioned happily making him laugh and nod. I layed on the bed next to Sweet Pea while we were still in our bathing suits probably soaking the bed. A short nod came from the door but before we could answer the door opened. "Sorry guys," I looked up to find Jughead and the whole group behind him. "We were worried because you hadn't eaten yet," I laughed. "I actually am super hungry now that I think about it. How bout you Sweats?" He shrugged. " I'm only hungry for one thing," he replied I looked waiting for he answer "Which is?" I asked and he looked up at the rest of the crew. "Pizza. That sounds amazing can you order?" He asked and most of them sighed with relief and I laughed. "That sounds really good," I added. They all agreed and left so we could change. I grabbed some of my old stuff that I had before Veronica bought me every piece of clothes I could ask for.
Without the glasses
We ordered dominoes and ate and talked for a couple of hours just having fun. We all got tired at around midnight and decided to go to bed. When I sat down on the chair Sweat Pea looked at me weirdly. I smiled softly at him "What?" I questioned. "Why aren't you in the bed," I shrugged "I'm not aloud to sleep with boys," he laughed "Well then I'll sleep in the chair." I shook my head no at him "I'm fine Sweets," he got out of the bed and walked over to me I squeezed my eyes shut. "I'm already asleep," I practically yelled. He picked me up and placed me on the bed walking back over to the tweed tied chair. "Gosh Sweet Pea I can do some things for myself, like walk," he laughed.
"Barely."
Time skip to next day
I woke up in peaceful comfort but when I looked over to Sweet Pea he head his head laying back and was snoring loudly. I giggled and walked over to him shaking him gently. "Ten more minutes princess," he groaned and I laughed. I sighed walking over to my drawer, I searched my drawer and went to the bathroom to change into my outfit I chose.
I walked out of the wooden door and Betty and Veronica walked up to me immediately. Apparently Veronica and Archie got in a fight so we were taking a girls trip to town. I agreed and told Sweat Pea who was fine with it. Just a bit angry he had to stay with Archie but he got over it. We walked into a store and I kinda zoned out on Veronica's and Betty's conversation on what happened with Betty and Jughead last night, not really caring. I grabbed a bag of goldfish and we went to the cashier and Veronica started to flirt with the cashier and I just stared at her from the back disgusted. "Alright that's enough. You got in a fight with Archie you didn't break up with him," I said and Betty nodded. I walked out and didn't pay attention to their conversation but instead took notice to the guys staring at us. "What are you looking at?" I asked angry because I hadn't breakfast. "You" he said staring at butt before I heard one of his friends whisper to him. "Yo, back off I think she's a part of gang," I nodded at him "Your friends right. Back off," I told him then walked over to Betty and Veronica. When we got home I watched from afar as Archie and Veronica made up when my phone started to buzz and I figured out it was from my dad. "Jughead, A.J. did you hear?" He asked then I realized he put us on a group call. "Hold on dad we can't hear you,"I said as we both walked outside. "What's going on?" I heard Jughead ask through the phone. "He did it he payed for all of our rent," "Why?" I asked knowing he was Hiram. "Because of you to. You shamed him into it. He bought the trailer park. WE CAN ALL STAY," he yelled and I could hear the cheers from the other phone. When Veronica walked out with everyone else. "Really Veronica your dad bought the trailer park?" My anger coming to my face. "Just as we suspected your dad is gobbling up the Southside piece by piece," Jughead added. "Well do you get to stay?" Archie asked. "Yes but that's not the point. Don't you see it Archie?" I asked. "What is with you two's whole vendetta against my dad. You get to stay. I mean how much of a narcissist do you to have to be?" Veronica asked. "Can't you see?" Jughead asked "It's a tactic," I finished for him. "Look Jughead, A.J. I know you to like conspiracy theories but take the win," Jughead looked at Betty and she agreed that when I noticed Sweat Pea was gone. "Where's Sweat Pea?" I asked feeling my breath starting to speed up. "Hey hey hey, he's ok A.J. he locked himself up in his room because him and Archie got in fight," I nodded and ran in the room and ran up the stairs when I fell hard on my knee. I got back and started to limp up the stairs. I busted through the door and Sweat Pea looked angry. "Are you ok?" I asked and he nodded. "What'd you get in a fight with Archie over?" I asked. "Over you, he is one very over protective friend," I laughed and nodded. "Did you hear what happened?" I asked and he nodded. "Look I wouldn't be surprised if you told me i was stupid but I know he's up to something he has a plan with the Southside Sweats," he nodded "I totally agree, and I'm worried to see where this goes but for now we gotta celebrate what we've got," I nodded and he picked me up and brought me down the stairs. He sat me on the couch when everyone one else walked in.
Time skip to monopoly game
"I have a park place and a hotel there A.J. so fifteen hundred dollars. Nothing personal," I nodded. "Of course. It's just business," I handed her the money when Betty's phone buzzed and she pulled it out. "Oo it's my mom. Should I answer?" I laughed at the no's she got in reply. "Maybe it's about Chic," I told her and she nodded then left. When she came back. "Hiram Lodge bought the register," I stood up and walked over to her. "My mom is terrified. My dad isn't answering her and your dad bought her register," Betty said. "Is that why you brought us here?" She asked Veronica. "To distract us from what's going on," she finished. "Betty don't pretend like my dad is the bad guy here your dad sold the register in the first place," "And I don't see why you two Jughead and A.J. are so mad," he finished. "Archie this isn't that complicated so maybe you can understand this," "Hiram Lodge is buying places all over Riverdale and now the register," I said. "He's silencing the free press. The last people who were able to fight back are silenced," Jughead finished and I nodded. There was a crash. "What was that?" Jughead asked"Who else knows we're here?" Archie asked. "Why do you say it like that?" Betty o asked. A bunch of guys walked in with ski masks and weapons. "You guys listen and we don't knock your heads in," I nodded but Sweat Pea wasn't up for it. "The hell we will," he went to pull out his pocket knife but I stopped him. "You can't fight them," he was hesitant but he nodded. "Take what you want and don't hurt us," I said. He looked at Veronica "Where's you wallet," "In my bedroom," he nodded "Then let's go". "No. You are not going in that room win her alone," Archie said. "It's okay Archie I'll be fine," he let her go. After what seemed like forever but was really only like seven minutes they came back. "Now I'm gonna say this once. Hands up one your knees," everyone sat on their knees except for me and Sweat Pea. "I SAID GET DOWN," I went down and pulled Sweat Pea down next to me. "You have a nice house to bad I'm a destroy it,"before he could do anything the old house phone rang. "Who's that?" "That's the police calling to check on the silent alarm I set off. I figure you hillbillies have about 30 seconds before this place is swarming with police he walked over to her and ripped off her pearl necklace. "Screw you rich bitch," with that he ran off and the next thing I knew Sweat Pea and Archie were right behind him. And then I ran after them not wanting them to get hurt. The calls of my name as I ran after them made me wanna turn back but I couldn't have let anything bad happen to Sweat Pea but then I lost them. I was walking around the woods until I watched them as they ran back. And then a gunshot pierced my ears. Sweat Pea winced and deflected all my questions that I asked. We decided to drive home and we went to pop's. "Thank god Andre didn't leave when I told him to. That guy could've killed you or you Sweat Pea," she said staring at him. "Just so you know Sweat Pea your dating A.J. which means your apart of this group now," he nodded and smiled at me. Archie stuck his hand out and Veronica put her hand over his then Betty then Jughead then me and then Sweat Pea. I grinned at them and then we left. Sweat Pea drove me home and Jughead drove Betty home. With that the day was over. I had no explanation on that gunshot and I was worried Sweat Pea knew something. And Hiram Lodge owned my house. And then I was asleep.
