----------------------------------------------Valora's POV---------------------------------------------
Kakashi led me to his home in a very awkward silence, I spent the long walk fiddling with my hair wondering what I was going to do with it. Maybe tie it back or put it up, but then again if I didn't style it right I would look extremely girlie and since I was a boy at the moment that wouldn't be good. In no time at all we reached his house, which turned out to be a small apartment.
Leaving his shoes at the door, and seeing as I didn't have any, he led me back into what looked to be a spare room. It was very small and simple, but it was better then sleeping on the streets. So this was the room that my Mother called home, while she lived here in the village hidden in the leaves.
"This will be your room, mine is down the hall to the left. The bathroom is across from my room, I don't cook very often so dinner is going to be ramen" He told me, and then left me to get settled. I didn't have much seeing as all I had was on my back, taking off my Captains jacket and sword I hung them up in the small cupboard.
Looking out the window I looked out at the village, people walked down the village streets all of them going about their day. This place was my Mothers home for a short while, and yet it seems that people come and go from this place all the time. I wonder who was friends with my Mother, what kind of people are they or were.
"Zaraki" I heard Kakashi knocked upon my now bedroom door, and opens the door. "Dinner is ready if your hungry" He told me, then shut the door leaving me to take my time.
Leaving my room I walked out into the kitchen where Kakashi was already eating his bowl of ramen, sitting down at the small two person table I picked up a pair of chopsticks and dug into my own bowl. For simple instant ramen it wasn't all that bad, it was very filling and satisfying which is what I needed right now.
Dinner was over fairly quickly and afterwards Kakashi went off into the living room, tired from the long day I've had I went back to my room. Going into the cupboard I put my things in, I took out my sword and found a small bundle in the bottom. Setting my sword aside on my bed I took the bundle and opened it.
Inside the bundle was a few small items, but the one item that really caught my attention was a simple necklace with a fan symbol as the pendant. As soon as my hand touched the cool metal of the pedant I knew this belonged to my Mother, and all memories she had of this world came rushing into my head.
Everything my Mother did and every thought she had, was now swimming around in my head like they were my own. I knew all my Mother did from the days she arrived here, to the days she left. I don't know why I now have them, or why they were given to me but I feel as if they will come of great use in the time to come while in this world.
Taking the necklace I placed it around my neck and tucked it under my shirt, as this was the family crest of My grandfather, Mother, and Uncle I shouldn't be seen wearing it or people would start to ask questions. The other things in the bundle were just some small weapons and scrolls, not sure if those too were important or not I tucked them back into the cupboard for safe keeping.
Going back over to the bed I took the cloth off my sword to make sure it had not started to rust, or worse have water damage. Seeing it was fine so far I threw the stripps of cloth away, and set my sword by my bed against the wall wanting to keep it close. It was my zampakto after all, it is a part of me, half of my soul and something that I could never lose.
With a yawn I knew it was time for me to get some shut eye, who knows what tomorrow will bring me. I might go to the ninja school here or find work, or just sit around Kakashi's house until who knows when. Though I would much rather go to the ninja school then sit around all day doing nothing, there is only so much boredom I can take before I snap.
The next morning I woke up just at sunrise, going out into the kitchen Kakashi was sitting at the table with an empty mug in front of him and a bowl of ramen in front of the other seat. Sitting down I dug into the ramen with a powerful hunger, and I finished the big bowl of ramen within minutes of sitting in my seat.
"Today you start at the academe" Kakashi informed me as he rinsed his mug out, and placed it on the counter to dry.
"The what?" I asked, faking confusion.
"School for children to train and become Shinobi" He replied. "Class starts at 7 sharp, don't be late" He continued, then disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
An hour later I was on my way to the school, it took me no time at all to find the school with the use of my Mothers memories. Going to the class I was placed in I walked into the room, to see it was filled with the very same people my Mother had gone to school with. What was going on? If this was the time my Mother was in this world, then why is she not here and I am?
Iruka walked up to me with a smile. "You must be Zaraki, my new student. Let me introduce you to the class" He led me to the front center of the room and called the class to attention. "Class this is Zaraki, he will be joining our class" Everyone started to break out into whispers, and stared at me.
Walking to the back of the class I took a seat in the back row away from everyone else, I didn't much like the attention I was getting right now. Iruka thankfully started class and attention was pulled away from me, for the time being anyways.
Class went by very slowly and Iruka didn't call on me since he probably thought I didn't know what he was talking about, on one hand I didn't know was he was saying but on the other hand I did. Looking around the room I spotted Sasuke, my Mothers Uncle, and he looked just as much as a killjoy in person.
Then I spotted Naruto the host of the nine tailed demon fox, who became one of my Mothers best friends while she called this village home. I decided I too would become Naruto's friend, who knows maybe it was my path to live the life my Mother had but make it better, have more fun while I'm here.
Once Lunch came most of the girls in the class came running over, all asking where I'm from and if I would have lunch with them. With a sigh I stood up and walked out of the room, of course the girls followed but so did Naruto. Stopping and turning around I stated to the girls that I had no interest in eating with any of them, and for them to leave me alone.
Taking my attention away from the girls I looked over at Naruto, who stood a little ways back from the group with an undetermined look on his face. Like a cross between anger, jealousy, and sadness. At first I felt like pitying him but then I though, why pity him when I could become his friend and make those feelings go away. Walking passed the girls I went up to him.
"Hi I'm Zaraki, what's your name?" I asked him, with a slight smile.
"My name is Naruto, why are you being nice to me?" He asked.
"Because I want to be friends, why do you ask?" I looked at him confused.
"No one ever wants to be my friend" He said stoically.
"Then Naruto, how would you like to be friends?" I asked him with a smile and held out my hand for him to shake.
