- Maybe look into improving your cover for the story, for example, making it clearer or more professional. (You could even look into asking for cover art from other authors/cover makers on wattpad!) Just so that the green eye isn't as stretched out and the title is clear and intriguing etc. (just a suggestion)
- TENSES! You switch to 'was' and 'is' constantly, especially in your description of Ashton.
- Punctuation. Always close speech with a comma, exclamation mark, question mark, full stop or something before the speech marks. Remember full stops and if there's a pause or a change in tone, use a comma.
- Commas BEFORE the speech marks
- Close off a sentence with punctuation before introducing speech right next to it.
- Keep consistent. If you close speech with ." and then use lower case then stick to it, rather than changing it to capitals i.e. the different between ." she said and ." She said.
- Use words instead of numbers where you can
- Use of 'there' and 'their' - watch it
- Proof read allllllllllllllllllllllll of your parts before you post them, double-check and triple-check everything always. Especially with the fragile content, it's really shattering to de-sensitise a moment on account of a typo etc.
Review -
With such a short and sweet blurb, I wasn't really sure what to expect with this. One of my rules in reading is that I never read a book I know will make me cry (for example, A Fault In Our Stars) because not only do I hate crying, but I hate feeling sad. If a story isn't meant to make me cry, or doesn't have that as its sole purpose but does, I find is brilliant and so entirely loveable. This story is one of those. Although it does clearly say, this is a heart wrenching story, its plot is one that would usually attract me, but not only that - the plot is beautiful and intertwining and the developing story, although terrifying and completely tear-jerking, is showing character and relationship development as well as true heartbreak. Everyone relates in one way or another, and this story has a perfect motion of appearling to the reader's humanity and vulnerability as well as saying 'we're just as vulnerable as each other'. Perfection is so hard to reach, and each thing going wrong within this story, but the Aziza's true ability to keep moving forward, echoes clear messages within the story.
