Sweet Starry Shadows
Chapter 29: Returning

Like what Chaverine estimated, Lucy and the others arrived to Fairy Tail in roughly ten minutes without delay. The dragon landing on their training grounds, Rogue helped Lucy jump off from the dragon's back where Sting threw down the tied-up mage over to him who then quickly caught it in ease. "Man, you're heavy," Sting grumbled to the wizard that they had captive.

"Chaverine, please quickly change back! We don't need these people knowing that you're a dragon," Lucy called out where the girl quickly nodded. Chaverine quickly transforming back into her human form, she jogged over to the blonde where she smiled at her. "Thank you... This guild just made me not want to reveal the greatest of secrets to them," Lucy reasoned as they began to walk around the guild building to get themselves to the front entrance where loud booms of laughter could be heard from where they stood.

Sting and Rogue taking in a deep breath, they narrowed their eyes at the wooden door as Chaverine did the same thing, only to find herself turning to Lucy with questioning eyes. "Why do I smell a faint scent of Igneel?" the dragon whispered.
"His son is in there..." Lucy whispered before opening the doors to reveal an all too familiar scene happening in front of her with Natsu and Gray fighting with Erza stomping her way towards them.

Before Erza could reach the two though, Natsu stopped his bickering to only turn his head to look at her with widened eyes. Gray noticing his friend's lack of attention on him, he too stopped to turn his head to the same direction as Natsu's to only have the same reaction.
Their eyes pointing to the female blonde, Erza's pair of eyes soon joined in where sooner or later, the entire guild's attention were on the five at the door. Frozen in place since they never knew when they'll meet the blonde again, they stayed planted in their spots until Sting faked a cough to snap them out of their train of thoughts.

"Is your Master at home?" Sting gruffed as he stood there tall with his chest poking out to show that he was ready to strike if they were to do something unnecessary.

"He's out right now in a meeting... What do you need, Sting?" Erza replied, walking towards them where Lucy tensed her body and balled her fists. She had to stay cool or they'll strike her like a python hunting down its prey. Her head high where Rogue glanced over to her stiff body, she opened her mouth. "We're here for Master Makarov and nothing else. Please notify him and the Magic Council of our arrival..." she said where everyone widened their eyes.
"We're here just for this issue and nothing else so we don't need your hospitality," she pressed on with her eyes following Lisanna who happened to appear besides Natsu.

Lisanna's fingers gliding across Natsu's chest, she faked a pout where Sting gave Lucy a questioning look. "He doesn't want to see the guild's harasser anymore... He announced it just a week after you ran away, Lucy," she stated as she leaned into her boyfriend. Her eyes shining in mischief as she looked over to the blonde, she widened her eyes when her actions didn't affect the blonde that was standing in front of her.

Gray forcing himself to smile, he began to walk over to the blonde. "Lucy... You're back!" he said where he frowned once he noticed her body flinch. Stopping himself from walking anymore closer to her, he frowned as Wendy ran past him to run into Lucy with a huge smile. "Lucy-san, I've been looking for you everywhere! Where have you been?!" she cried out.

The teenager snuggling into the stiff blonde, she noticed the difference in the her as she continued her embrace. Lucy's body felt denser and sturdier, as if she had been training for a while now. Her hair was longer, and her face held so many emotions in her eyes which seemed to reveal itself before hiding from the world. With eyes that were once full of life, they seemed unstable, but slowly getting there.

Wendy slowly pulling back since she didn't get quite the reaction that she had hoped for, she slowly took a few steps back to look into Lucy's conflicted eyes. "Lucy-san?" she whispered before Rogue walked up and stood next to the blonde that was tense and eerily quiet.

"Please don't touch our family," Rogue said where Lisanna scoffed out loud, catching everyone's attention. "Family?! Sabertooth and family?! So, she decided to run away and fake an act to hide her actions of hurting me," she yelled in accusation where Rogue widened his eyes as well as the other two standing behind him.

Lucy squaring her shoulders as she listened to Lisanna throw complete nonsense to them, she gritted her teeth as flashbacks from before began appearing in her mind. Oh, how much she hated the girl right in front of her for sputtering out all this nonsense to her face while still looking as beautiful as ever. No matter what crap she claimed, people would always follow her with blinded eyes.
They knew nothing. They just simply followed her while she continued to scream bullshit in every direction.

"We're not here for trouble Lisanna... We're just here to talk to Master," Lucy said as she tried to hide her annoyance and anger by balling her fists.

Lisanna shaking her head, she crossed her arms. "We don't welcome bullies to the guild, especially the ones that do nothing but bring trouble and harrassment within the guild!" she yelled out. "If you want Master, then you have to apologise to me for what you've done and admit that you've hurt me in the past!"

Widening her eyes from the outburst, Lucy shook her head. "I didn't do anything to you, and if you don't want to deal with me, then I'll happy leave the building to let you call him to come here. Just get us Master Makarov because we're here for business and not to dance to your petty whining of this fake story that you're creating of me," she said firmly where power could be heard in her voice.

The guild not saying anything as they watched the unfolding fight reveal itself, Erza crossed her arms in disapproval. "If this is going to result to a fight, then please leave Lucy... We don't want to create any more issues -" She was going to finish her sentence when a voice cut her off. "She doesn't have to leave to go anywhere..." a voice interrupted where Sakura appeared with Laxus following behind her.

Sakura crossing her arms as she glared at the shameful guild in front of her, she shook her head. "Although you may have the right to ask someone to leave since you too hold the power and position to do so, I too have the right to argue with your decisions," Sakura stated as she stood on the other side of Lucy. "Lucy will stay here along with her family. If she leaves then we'll leave, making you and everyone else go through the old man's rage once he hears about this from the Magic Council. Now, I know you don't want that to happen, so I suggest you all suck it up and call him before I stir your heads in lava like a spoon in coffee... And I'm pretty sure that you know how serious I am with my threats," she said where Gray looked at her with questioning eyes.

"You start crap with my family... Then I'll have no issues of doing the same but with thrice the spice into your eyes," Sakura said with a smirk. She was about to say something until Gray opened his mouth to speak of his question. "What do you mean by your family?"

She looked at him and showed him her new insignia that she bears. "I'm no longer with a family that does nothing but injustice. I am now in a guild that's all about justice and love, and not to mention, listens to both sides before determining what is right and wrong," she proclaimed which made everyone widen their eyes.

"You can't do that! You're supposed to be here and getting ready for the GMG!" Lisanna yelled, pointing to the crimson that flipped her the bird. "I don't join a guild to only be used to claim the title. You must be clueless of my position here because I don't partake in such events. I join a guild for the experience and passion of meeting people that'll be there by my side. Lisanna, I'm no tool and neither is Lucy for being your toy! You should grow up and wear some big pants, because you're acting like a complete child for someone your age," Sakura sneered.

Sting leaned forward with a smirk evident on his face. "Boom. Snap. Get that salty woman an iceberge for that burn... But wait, the ice is going to stick to her," he whispered, making Lucy's lips twitch as she tried to hold in her chuckle.

By hearing Sakura's insult, the guild began to murmur before Lisanna screeched. "So, you're now our enemy?! You're joining that heartless guild just for that blonde over there that does nothing but complain about her position?! Sabertooth is a weak guild because we beat them in the previous Grand Magic Games!" she snapped where Sting opened his mouth in utter shock.

Rogue too looked at the girl in shock and this time, Gray finally saw what Lucy and Sakura had been seeing for all these times. The raven remaining quiet as Sting and Rogue glared at the girl in front of them, they were all itching to do one thing... To shut her up.

"That's where you're wrong about things. How about I just shut your mouth right here and right now before I allow the Guild Master of Sabertooth, Sting, to rip you apart. Let me tell you this, I can't reassure you that your safety will be taken care of since, safety isn't a thing in my world," Sakura said where Erza finally took some action.
