Olive had been fussy yesterday and today you could tell she had caught a cold; it wasn't anything serious, but she was still a baby, so it was stressful. Jack was bouncing Olive in his arms when she sneezed.
"Oh, bless you, that was a big sneeze for a little baby." Jack said.
"Let me feed her before she gets fussy because she's hungry." You told Jack and he nodded, handing you Olive so you could feed her. "I feel so bad because she's sick." Jack nodded in agreement.
"Do you think we should take her to the doctor? Paisley didn't get sick until she was older."
"I think she's okay right now, but if she gets worse, we can take her." You told Jack and he nodded again.
Olive didn't sleep well that night, which meant neither did you or Jack, luckily Jack's parents took Paisley for a couple days so you could focus on Olive. Jack didn't want to leave Olive's side, even insisting to stay in her room, telling you to go back to bed. Jack ended up falling asleep on the rocking chair you had in her room.
"Jack, baby, wake up." You said gently, running your hands through his hair, slowly waking him up.
"Is she okay?" Jack asked.
"Olive is fine, go to bed, I got her." You said and Jack shook his head.
"I want to stay here." Jack said.
"You sure?" You asked and Jack nodded.
"Yeah, come here." Jack said, pulling you down into his lap, falling back asleep while Olive slept in her crib.
